The Importance of David

Scripture:  Psalm 110 v 1 - 4: "A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2  The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3  Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
4  The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."

One of the most prominent figures of the Old Testament is David.  Certainly no Jewish child in the past 3500 years has been ignorant of him.  Every Christian has heard of him, and many irreligious people speak of David and Goliath in courtroom battles and business deals.

David was a shepherd who killed a lion with his bare hands.  He overcame a huge Philistine giant with one stone in a slingshot.  He caused such jealous rages in Israel's first king, Saul, that he spent years fleeing from death at his hands.  When David could have killed Saul, he spared his life, unwilling to touch or harm the Lord's anointed.  He became the second King of Israel after the death of Saul.

David was a poet and a Islamist.  He composed beautiful music on his harp.  When Saul was tormented by demons David would play songs on his harp that would cause those demons to leave.

The Seventh Millenium which we are already living in, is also called The Throne of David.  An eternal dynasty was promised to David, whom the Lord said is a priest of the Order of Melchizedec forever.  This is a very exclusive and elite group of people whose existence on Earth is shrouded in mystery.

One of the extraordinary things about this Order is that they appear more than once on Earth.  Not as reincarnations, that refers to Hindu and Buddhist teachings, but Jesus referred to John the Baptist as Elijah for those who could understand Him.

Matthew 11 v 12 - 15: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
13  For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14  And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
15  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Jesus said after John's death that he was the greatest prophet who ever lived.  Elijah also never died, he was taken to heaven in the chariots of God.  On the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus, Peter and John the apostle, met with Moses and Elijah which totally overwhelmed Peter.  Matthew 17.

People of the Order of Melchizedec have no beginning of days, they just appear.  They have no end of days either.  They are servants of the Most HIgh God.

It is also expected that the two prophets who testify and bring down woes and calamities during the Tribulation are Moses and Elijah, which means they are living amongst us today.  When they are killed the whole world sends gifts to one another in relief.  They rise from the dead after three days and are Raptured.  The time of their Rapture happens at the end of the first half of the Seven Years of Tribulations.

We are waiting for the Sons of God to be manifested among us. Romans 8 v 18 - 19: "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19  For the earnest expectation of the creature  waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."

These all made another appearance on Earth after their deaths.  Matthew 27 v 50 - 53:  "Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53  And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

David would have been one of these, along with Abraham, Elisha, Samuel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel, all the men of renown.  And the great women too like Samuel's mother, Hannah, Ruth, Naomi, Esther, and Deborah the only female judge.

Among the anointings attributed to David was the Intercessor anointing called "The Key of David" mentioned twice in the Bible.  When using this Key, things get opened that no man can shut and things get shut that no man can open.  Prophets can shut up Heaven that no rain falls for 3 years.  That's what those two prophets in Revelation 11 did.

Jesus is the Light of the world that can never be defeated.  His enemies have no hope of winning.  Our part is to help convert some of those enemies into Christians.  We have the tools to do it, do we have the will?

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, we love You, honour You, respect You and worship You in Spirit and truth.  We are excited that its not long now before we are alive on Earth with Jesus for one thousand years.  Help us to use these remaining few years wisely and for Your Kingdom.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
