Scripture: Joshua 7 v 3b: "For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you."
Joshua is busy conquering the tribes that dwelt in the Promised Land. After the death of Moses the mantle of responsibility for Israel's progress into the Land was laid on his shoulders. Along the way one of their number, Achan, had disobeyed the Lord by taking an idol of the spoils of an enemy tribe and hiding it in his belongings.
Israel's next battle is against Ai, a small tribe, and Joshua decides to send only 2000 - 3000 men to deal with them. To his shock and dismay Israel is decisively beaten. He falls to the ground weeping before the Ark of God trying to discover why the power of God had deserted them on the battlefield.
The Lord has no pity for him and says that Israel have sinned and taken an accursed thing into their midst and because of this they had no power against their enemies.
The lesson we need to learn is that we may ignorantly or knowingly, have "an accursed thing" in our homes and it could be thwarting every plan we make.
Deuteronomy 7 v 25 - 26: "The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing."
What the Lord is saying right through the Bible is that certain objects, books, some music, all idols, religious artefacts, have been cursed by the dark side, Satanic realm, to keep people in bondage to things that are a curse to them.
The Lord says that disobedience ties His hands therefore He has made it very clear in His Word and dealings with Israel, and with us, that if we obey Him He withholds nothing from us but if we disobey, a curse blocks us from receiving His blessings. Deuteronomy 28.
Have you got something in your possessions that the Lord frowns on? If you are unable to overcome a problem in your life ask the Lord to show you if you have hidden an accursed thing in your home or if you have been disobedient or sinned in some way. .
Strange idols include African carvings - especially masks, drums or heads; dream catchers; all porn; abuse of illegal or prescription drugs; windchimes - these are used in Buddhist temples to drive away demons.....they actually attract demons to your home. Statues of Buddha, Hindu, Jesus, Mary, or others. Books on the Occult, Mormon Bible.
Movies of witchcraft and occult related (Horror) content, and Heavy Metal or Death Metal music, Trance, most Rap songs have very dark lyrics, also music with serious deep base tones. Some kinds of jewellery like pentagrams or ankhs. All of these would be seen as having an accursed thing in your possession.
I advised a friend whose husband had moved out, to get rid of three rosaries, Catholic prayer beads, she had hanging on the wall. She said they belong to her husband and I said when they go he will return. A few weeks later her home was burgled of all electrical items plus the three rosaries. Her husband was so upset that the lives of his family had been endangered that he moved back in. Those prayer beads elevate Mary above the Father and Jesus, which makes them an idol.
In Ezekiel 28 Lucifer, before he became Satan, was known as the one whose entire being was created in a musical dimension. He was the Archangel in charge of praise and worship in Heaven. Music is one of his most constant influences on the human race. When Lucifer fell the whole spectrum of music fell with him. All music even good music. He wants us in a trance so he can control our minds and emotions in areas of drugs, sex, witchcraft, death, suicide, rape and violence. Think on these things.
Ezekiel 28 v 13 - 15: "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
Long after my parents had passed away I visited a family member who had severe heart problems. She proudly showed me a coffee table with an embroidered cloth under glass that she had inherited from my mother, who had embroidered the cloth. The table had been made by a Freemasons friend of my father. I said she should get rid of it plus some astrology ornaments and her heart problems would go.
Thankfully she listened but her husband very much doubted the truth of this. He helped dispose of the items though. A few weeks later she let me know the Lord had healed her. So many praises to our King. Her unbelieving husband told a family gathering about all this and people were mocking it all but he stopped them by saying .... it worked! Within a few weeks she was healed! Years later she is still fine.
If your family or finances or health is under stress get rid of the accursed thing that is blocking the Lord's blessing from your life. Identify the object/s that attract things that shatter the peace and abundance you should be enjoying. The way God protects us is through obedience to His Word.
He warns of consequences if we don't apply this knowledge to every situation in Hoses 4 v 6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
Those who are in the ministry and espouse false doctrines like commanding angels to protect you, send angels to heal people or preach the gospel. Or "The Toronto Blessing" aka "Catch the Fire". This is not the new revival it is bondage to occult demons. You are teaching people falseness and causing them to fall into error. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth said Jesus unless you repent.
There are many ministers who are wolves in sheep's clothing because they are Freemasons. This is a Luciferian cult that is very powerful in all countries and controls government from behind closed and secret doors. They are deeply linked to Jesuits ..Roman Catholic Intelligence Agents of which many are politicians. They exist to destroy true Christianity. There function is to draw Christians into the one world religion of the Antichrist. All roads lead to God.
Indeed they do but when we meet Him He knows who are His true followers and those who are false. Those who shun the accursed thing will spend eternity in Heaven, those who mingle their faith with other religions like Chrislam ....Christianity combined with Islam, and other abominations like Interfaith and churches with gay clergy will have all eternity to regret it. There is no such thing as a Gay Christian. That's an oxymoron.
Romans 1 v 24 - 28: "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
A reprobate mind is unable to be born again. True repentance and becoming a normal straight person is what the Lord expects and that He will honour with salvation and healing. I love gay people, I don't love their sin or lifestyle. I just do not want them to believe a lie that would exclude them from eternal life in Heaven. They must get rid of the accursed thing to be made whole.
In some countries it is illegal to share Romans 1 with gay people as it offends their rights. If it brings truth into their lives and changes their eternal destination, I cannot but say what the true Word of God plainly states.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me for hiding the accursed thing in my goods. Show me the minefield around me that needs defusing. Help me to cleanse my home, family, car, phone, laptop, tablet, office and life of every evil object and falseness - wash me in the Blood of Jesus. Lord strengthen me to obey Your Word. In Jesus' name. Amen.
