Scripture: John 14 v 1 - 6: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Proverbs 6 v 14 - 19: "Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
Great bunches of people all round the world are troubled continually by the situations they find themselves in. They make protests, strikes, wars and anything else that can bring attention leading to sympathy. It generally escalates the problems and resolves nothing.
Back in the 18th century, Marie Antoinette, being beseeched to beg King Louis XVI to help the starving hordes in Paris, because they had no bread, said, Let them eat cake! And her indifference has seeped down the centuries to now.
The leaders of nations are in a turmoil because the world is throwing curve balls so fast that they are in the midst of several impossible calamities simultaneously. And the population is unhappy with their leaders.
It is not "climate change" that is causing upheaval on Earth. It is the war in the heavenlies heating up as Satan tries to destroy this planet before Jesus arrives. He is trying his darndest to avoid the eternal lake of unquenchable fire and swing things his way. His hates everything Jesus created and his motto is steal, kill, destroy. He still thinks he will rule the universe he feels he is entitled to.
Today the President of South Africa is leading a delegation of prominent people into the Oval Office in the hopes of changing the perception caused by the 49 Afrikaner refugees. They landed in the USA last week to start a new life without electric fences and high speed security response units. They are the poster child of white minority persecution that the delegation hopes to deny is happening. The USA Intel is probably going to be nightmarish for them.
They want to show President Trump that white people are not an endangered species, not being persecuted, or sidelined from employment. The fact that 4000 farmers have been gruesomely murdered over the past years cannot be ignored. The new law of seizing of property without paying for it, i.e. THEFT without consequences is going to cause white taxpayers to leave in droves. This will be a disaster for the ruling party. A real winter of discontent.
They cannot afford to lose the income of the minority that subsidizes the majority who have no jobs. Only black African people need apply for jobs. White South African graduates find jobs in other countries. Or start their own businesses. Now their property can be taken away, including business premises, cars, homes, machinery. No recourse to law. It's going to become worse than being nuked. God has other plans.
China's property market has collapsed with serious consequences. Hark back to 2008, when it happened to the USA when the Lehman Brothers property emporium collapsed. Followed by a run on the Royal Bank of Scotland the first of 4 British banks to fall like dominoes. China's Yuan is feeling very nervous right now and, uncharacteristically, China's inhabitants are rising against their President.
Matthew 15 v 12 - 14: "Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
This passage of scripture sums up the problem when applied to the world's leaders today. They are blind leaders of the blind. All fall down. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me!
The Bible, and access to the Father through Jesus, solves all the world's troubles through applying the oracles of God, under His theocracy, and dealing with sin appropriately. Sin lies at the door of every problem on the planet. God's plan to eliminate sin was implemented 2000 years ago through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
We have had two millennia to understand and apply the solutions and we have largely failed. God has not failed us in any way, its our fault. When Jesus ascended to Heaven He gave Christians His full authority and power of attorney.
Everything He did, and even greater things than He did, we can do too. It takes pure faith, truth, uncompromising belief, and total commitment to reach up to it. Jesus said, straight is the path, narrow is the way that leads to life, but few there be that find it. FEW find it. It's a choice that looks all wrong but is the only way.
How many are even seeking that narrow way, because they are greatly enjoying the broad way, free for all, dished out every Sunday that is called going to church.
We cannot "go to church". It's not a building. We are the church, the Body of Jesus Christ, full of His DNA. We have inherited the Kingdom of God and stuck it in mothballs to preserve it. Where two are three are gathered together there am I in your midst, says the Lord Jesus Christ. That's church. The pandemic isolation showed us how to gather on Zoom and have fellowship and worship God.
Even in the church the blind are leading the blind. There are false leaders, false pastors, false evangelists, false prophets, false apostles, false doctrines, false brethren. How do we discern truth except through the power of the Holy Spirit? And how many churches have yet to be introduced to the Holy Spirit? How many churches have offended the Holy Spirit causing Him to withdraw?
The Holy Spirit is the representative of Jesus Christ on this planet. Not the Pope who is falsely called the Vicar of Christ. They mention the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, in passing but they are not acquainted with Him. He is a Person, part of the Trinity of God. Without Him we are in very poor shape. Without Him we have no oil in our lamps. We are blind leaders of the blind.
The Holy Spirit will never come upon a person who is still a sinner. He will not make His abode with those who are not born again. To survive in this world until Jesus comes we need the Holy Spirit 100% of the time. We need His gifts to flow continuously just to comprehend the will of the Father. We need His love, teaching, guidance, intuition, anointing, fruits, to apply the power of God to every circumstance.
The solution to the world's problems is that everyone must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Every born again person must be ready to share the gospel with family, friends, colleagues, strangers. Sinners are on a runaway train and the bridge is down. If you are on that train you are safe in Jesus, whether dead or alive, but how many are you going to reach before the rails run out?
Put aside your winter of discontent with your lot in life. Put aside your own situation and start to be a witness for Jesus shining His light into the dark sinful hearts around you. The Holy Spirit will back you up, and be the after-preacher, confirming your words and convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. But if we don't tell them first, they will never hear it.
Let's change our ways and use every opportunity to share the truth, make disciples, receive the blessings of obedience. Jesus is coming soon, let's make Him glad He saved us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are so busy trying to survive in this crazy world that we neglect the work we should be doing to extend Your Kingdom. Forgive us this oversight, Father, and help us to be bold and strong in our commitments to You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
