Scripture: Revelation 19 v 11 - 16: "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
Unique in the Universe is the One we follow in the paths of salvation. There is no other who can save our souls, forgive our sins, restore us to full stature and love us so freely. He is the LORD OF LORDS! HE IS THE KING OF KINGS! His name is Jesus, Son of the Living God, He is Faithful and True!
He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, He is perfection, absolutely Holy. We are so privileged to know Him. We are being changed to be like Him. Are we changing quickly enough? Are we resisting change to rather fit in with worldly friends?
In James 4 v 4 he says that friendship with the world is enmity with God. Beware the tentacles of worldliness infiltrating our souls through peer pressure. We must rather show the love of Jesus to them. It's 2023 and time is running out for the Gentiles. The door started closing in 1948 when the Jewish nation was regathered into the land of Israel. It's now 75 years of the world's anger against that miracle. It took the Holocaust to achieve enough human mercy to make it happen. Our Lord is faithful, He is true.
He is Jehovah Rapha.....The Lord who heals us. Everyone He ever touched on Earth was healed and delivered from demons. He didn't check if there were any strangers or other faiths in the crowd. He healed them all. Hard to argue with success.
I was helping a blind physiotherapist a while back. I used to drive him to various hospitals to help those with lung infections like TB and Emphysema. We had returned to his home and an Indian couple were waiting for treatment.
She was in pain in her neck and shoulder. I took her to one side and said I could pray for her. She said she believed in Lord Krishna, Hindu God. I told her that Jesus was the Lord of Lords which meant that Krishna was subject to Him. She agreed to prayer and Jesus healed her. I often wonder if it opened her heart to seek His face too.
We are ambassadors for a mighty Kingdom that will never end. We have only scratched the surface of its might and splendour. We need to portray our Kingdom in a beautiful light by the way we live, love, dress, speak and behave. We must treat others as Jesus would. At home and everywhere we go. People should notice that we are different from the world and desire that difference in their own lives. We must reflect the faithfulness and truth that Jesus becomes within us.
We belong to the Lord of Lords. He bought us with His own Blood and gave us free will to follow Him or not. If we don't read the Bible enough we will not know what He likes, loves or dislikes. How does He treat the poor? He really didn't like the Pharisees, Jewish Priesthood, calling them hypocrites full of dead men's bones.
He hated the moneylenders outside the Temple in Jerusalem. He overthrew their tables and all their profits went flying into the dirt. He had compassion on the ten lepers healing their uncleanness instantly. The one who returned to thank Him had all his flesh restored to normal. The other nine did not. The things He did, we should do too because He lives within us, wanting to touch lives that are under pressure.
Daniel 7 v 13 - 14: "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."
Daniel saw the Lord in His true light and honoured Him all his days. He left a legacy of glory for us to examine and learn about the coming of Jesus 2000 years ago plus things like his 70 weeks prophecy which reaches into the end times. The final "week" which translates into the seven years of great tribulation.
There are 333 Old Testament prophecies that were all fulfilled in One Man, Jesus Christ. Prophecies spanning 3000 years by over forty different people, that all came true. He was so powerful that His birth changed our calender into B.C. and AD. Before and after He came. How do we calculate the odds on the fulfilment of 333 prophecies being wrong?
Strange how so many can just dismiss Him or blaspheme His name or persecute Him. Or persecute His followers. There is no other name but Jesus by which mankind can be saved. No amount of persecution can change the facts of His reality. Let us rejoice and sing praises to the Great I AM.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are Your children and Your wonderful Son created us then bought us back out of the hands of our enemy with His own Blood. So we are twice His. And very thankful to the One who is Faithful and True. Give us the love and ability to draw in those who are watching - waiting for us to tell them about Him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
