Truth about Mormonism

Scripture: Ephesians 5 v 6 - 13; Jude v 10 - 19.

In recent times the leaders of the Mormon church also known as the Church of the Latter Day Saints or LDS for short, have sought to be known as pure Christians. They have sought to sanitise their image from cult status to "acceptable Christian brethren".

This is a move fostered by the New Agers who are seeking to amalgamate all religious groups/churches in the One World Church. (See "The One World Church" on this blog for more information.) The founder of LDS was Joseph Smith, who was once a Freemason but was blackballed by them (expelled) for being found to be a thief and a liar. He was sent to prison where he was murdered. Before all this occurred he convinced many people that he had been visited by the angel Moroni who had led him to the buried golden scrolls on which Mormon truth is based.

The golden scrolls disappeared after he had written down this powerful truth. The final outcome was the Book of Mormon, and other writings, which contain some Freemasonry, some twisted passages from the Bible plus the belief that Mormon men should have multiple wives to prepare for their afterlife. This is that once they die they become a god on their own planet where they take their multiple wives to populate and rule that planet.

The Mormon Church has its headquarters in Utah, USA, and they rule with an iron fist. It is one of the fastest growing cults in the USA, which has spread all over the world, and they are exceedingly wealthy. They own huge corporations such as Coca Cola. For years no Mormon was allowed to drink stimulating beverages like Coke, tea, or coffee, but since they acquired the Coca Cola company these rules have been relaxed.

There are many masonic rituals in the secret beliefs and practices they engage in. They also have the same secret handshakes as Masons do to indicate what level of authority they have obtained. There is no resemblance to Christianity in this cult and no hope of eternity with Jesus Christ. In fact Mormons believe that Lucifer and Jesus were brothers and that Jesus lost the battle for heaven and was consigned to Earth leaving Lucifer victorious!

There is no salvation in LDS doctrine just the promise of a lie about being a god on another planet. Their outward image is beauty and cleanliness but these are truly wolves in sheep's clothing.

There are many warnings in the Bible like 2 John v 7 - 11 where we are told that many deceivers are entered into the world who transgress against the doctrine of Jesus Christ and are referred to as antichrist. John warns us not to even let these deceivers enter our homes nor to bless them in any way as that would make us partakers of their evil deeds.

All we can do is share the truth about Jesus and all He had to say about the Devil, Heaven and Hell and warn the followers of LDS that they have been deceived and need to be rescued from a cult that will lead to their eternal destruction.

Remember John 14 v 6 - Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life; no-one comes to the Father except through Me." We need to know the way ie through the Cross and Blood of Jesus; the truth - Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of Almighty God; the life - there is a strait and narrow path that leads to life and few there be that find it.

Prayer: Heavenly Father In these last days before Jesus returns the enemy will throw every imaginable deception in the way of people to defeat the promises of God. I pray that Your people will not perish through lack of knowledge but will know the truth and the truth shall set them free. In Jesus' name. Amen.
