WHEN GOD No LONGER SPEAKS
by David Wilkerson
Isaiah faithfully prophesied to Israel that the
"ears of them that hear"
would one day be opened. But, sadly, his listeners had
shut their ears to God's voice. They wanted to hold on to their sins!
Please understand, I'm not talking about a servant of God
who is overtaken by a sin he hates. Nor am I referring to the believer who
won't allow himself any rest until the Holy Ghost sets him free.
Rather, I'm talking about the believer who has learned to
love his sin, who has laid his head in the lap of a Delilah. Such a person has
a calloused conscience.

At the end of the Old Testament and the start of the New
Testament exists a gap of 400 years when Israel did not hear one word from God.
The word they heard was the conception of John the Baptist whom Jesus referred
to as Elijah. The last word of the Old was that Elijah would come!
We need to understand that God's word is true and that
through Jesus and the new creation, He speaks to us each individually in a
personal relationship. Just as a Father would have with a child. Some children
just never listen and get into plenty trouble then blame God for it. Those who
listen to Him get much attention and blessing from Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father I want to be a pleasing child who
listens and obeys You so that our relationship can grow. How You use that
growing maturity is to Your Kingdom and glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
