Scripture: Isaiah 64 v 4 "For since the beginning of
the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye
seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for
Him."
1 Corinthians 2 v 9 "But as it is written, Eye hath
not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love Him."
God our Father has a mind and heart that far surpasses
our finite minds. His mind is infinite and able to create the most exquisite
life of unimaginable pleasure for each one of us who believes and obeys Him in
this lifetime.
He knows how hard it is to resist temptation and overcome
sin for Jesus Christ is seated at His right hand, who endured the very same
temptations without once yielding to Satan. Because of this Jesus is able to
speak to God on our behalf and intercede for us from a position of intimate
knowledge of our struggles with the flesh.
Consider the ant. Do you know what an ant feels when it
is stepped on or sprayed with bug spray? Does it cry? Does it hurt? To really
know you would have to become an ant and be put in every negative situation it
would have so you could experience first hand what an ant's death felt like.
Consider Jesus. He laid aside his Heavenly existence to
be born as one of us so He could experience every trial and sorrow; every
sickness; bereavement; loss and cruelty; as well as our joys and triumphs. He
did this so that He could share these human events with His Father, who only
knows pure and sinless love.
Lucifer fell because sin was found in him. Specifically
Pride followed by Rebellion and Lies. These produced Lust, Disobedience and
Self Will and Jealousy, Covettousness and War leading to Death was the
inevitable result.
Sickness, suffering and death became the norm for all
humans trapped in Lucifer's world, which became Satan's world. When Lucifer
fell from Heaven his name was changed to Satan, the Accuser.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden
fruit, Satan was the instigator and manipulator who knew he would thereafter
control the world until God came up with a plan.
God's plan of redemption for mankind had to include Jesus
being born here to feel everything we feel so He could tell our Father exactly
what humans go through under Satan's bondage. That is why God plans such
unimaginable blessings for us if we overcome all this and make it home to Him.
When Satan tempted Jesus for forty days in the Wilderness
after His baptism, Jesus overcame every temptation by applying the Word of God to
him. Jesus declared the Word powerfully and Satan the father of lies was not
able to counteract the truth of it.
I would tell you what these blessings are but they are
beyond anything I can think or imagine. The Bible tells us that in Heaven it is
joy unspeakable and full of glory - no tears, no sorrow, no pain, no sickness,
no death, no ageing, no war, no horror or cruelty.
That's a good start. Total peace forever withour fear,
depression, anxiety, doubt or panic attacks. No drug addicts, alcoholics, no
blind, deaf, dumb, lame, or handicapped people. No famine, poverty, biochemical
or nuclear threat, no tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes or floods.
Jesus came to save us from all this and make a way for us
to be reunited forever with our Father in Heaven. We have a choice. Believe
Jesus and follow Him home. Or not.
Prayer: Heavenly
Father You so loved us that You sent Jesus Your beloved only Son to take on
Satan and sin to make a way of escape for us who believe it. I pray that the
whole world will believe it and be saved to enjoy You and the unimaginable
blessings You have prepared for those who love and worship You. In Jesus' name.
Amen.
