Divine Power

Scripture:

Jonah 2 v 10: "And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land."

Matthew 17 v 27: "...go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that fist cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee."

 - Our Creator retains control of His creation and can cause a donkey to speak to Balaam the disobedient prophet;

- a whale to swallow Jonah and deposit him at the place God wanted him to be;

- cause a fish to have in its mouth the exact amount of money for Jesus and Peter to pay their taxes.

 - Jesus had power over storms and high seas, and He has given us this authority to use.

- In Mark 11 Jesus cursed a fig tree that was not bearing fruit. He was invisible while walking through an angry crowd who wanted to kill Him.

- He walked on water; turned water into wine; used mud and spit to restore sight to a blind man.

- Then He told His disciples that they had the same anointing of the Holy Spirit as He had and could do everything He had done and more. Heal the sick; raise the dead; cast out demons; destroy strongholds; live as He lived.

- It takes faith that is mature to experience the fullness of His grace and divine power. You do not have to be an ordained minister to obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit; just have courage and obedience and see His power within you conquer the enemy.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we rejoice in the divine power You manifested on Earth as You taught us what was possible if we only believe. Help us in our weaknesses O Lord and stir up Your Holy Spirit within our hearts to do the works God has set for each of us. Amen.
