The Everlasting Covenant

Scripture: Hebrews 13 v 20-21:

"Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.  Amen."

- The Everlasting Covenant was written in the Blood of Jesus; an eternal and binding covenant promise that we will be with Him in Heaven forever.

- We were in Him in the Garden of Gethsemane; and in His trial, scourging and death; and we were in Him in His resurrection to eternal life. Death has passed from us which means we will never be separated from God again.

- Whether we live or die on Earth we will always be with Him because His Blood is perfecting us to do good things according to His will. He wants us to promote His glorious Kingdom so the lost sheep will be restored to the shepherd of their souls.

- Let us praise and glorify His holy name for all eternity.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, fill our hearts and mouths with praise and worship to show honour to You. You are worthy to be loved and exalted for finding us and setting us free of this world system. Let us do great things in Your name to please you. Amen.
