Scripture: Psalm 81 v 3:
"Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time
appointed, on our solemn feast day."
- Our God from the beginning used the Sun, Moon, Stars as
signs of His appointed times to bring His people together and draw them close
to Him. His chosen people, Israel, were given significant feasts and jubilees
to keep at these times.
- The significance of the Shemitah this September is that
it is 49 years since 1967 the Six Day War in israel that started on Yom Kippur,
the Day of Atonement. A jubilee in Israel means all debts are forgiven, all
slaves are freed, all land reverts to original owners. In 1967 the Jews won
back the old City of Jerusalem plus the West Bank. God restored the heart of
Israel to them after nearly 2000 year absence.
- A Shemitah is a jubilee of jubilees. A jubilee is every
7 years in Israel, a Shemitah is 7 x 7 years.
So this 2015 jubilee is the next Shemitah after 1967. and the powers that be e.g. UN and USA
and Arab nations want Israel to give back half of Jerusalem and the West Bank!
The French are now proposing the immediate creation of the State of Palestine in September 2015.
- This September is crowded with many overwhelming
events. The Pope addressing the UN for first time ever and announcing New World
Order changes. The Feast of Tabernacles on 13th with a Blood Moon on same
night. This is the 4th Blood Moon on Significant Feasts in past two years. (See attached photo). God is sounding a trumpet, a warning, for His
people to know that trouble is coming. But remember that when the enemy comes in like a flood, our God will raise up a standard!
- The Chief Rabbi in Israel has announced that the coming
of Messiah is imminent and its because of these feasts and Blood Moons. The
120th Shemitah in history starts on 25th September. After the Flood God said
the days of man would be 120 years. We are living in exciting times. Our God is
large and in charge!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Your people await Your coming
whenever it may be for You have great blessings in store for us. Tribulation
and wrath for those who reject You, everlasting life for those who follow You.
