Scripture: 1
Corinthians 12 v 28:
"And God hath set some in the church, first
apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then
gifts of healing, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."
Our God is rebuilding the body of His Son through its
members, us, because we are the broken parts of it. "This is My body,
broken for you" was said by Him before He went to the Cross, and His body
was not broken in pieces there. We have to look back to Revelations 13 v 8 to
where the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.
In that place and time His body was broken when He took
on the sin of His Bride, Israel, in order to pay the ransom that would set her
free. The enemy did not keep his end of the bargain and still holds Israel
captive. So each individual fragment of His body was called a soul, and each
soul carries the memories and scars of the torment and abuse Jesus suffered,
buried in their subconscious minds.
Each soul also carries her sin of disobedience, rebellion
and sexual sin, and our job on Earth is to gather every soul back into the body
of Christ through being born again and washed clean of sin in His Blood. To
accomplish this God has appointed ministers and given them tools to help them
do it correctly.
We need all the ministries to line up in the same
interpretation of the Word of God. We need all the gifts to flow in harmony
throughout the Body of Christ. At present there is massive disarray and
confusion as so many different doctrines abound that are not in line with the
Bible.
Its like using Volkswagen car parts to build a Rolls
Royce. Nothing fits or works properly. We all need to be on the same make and
model of the manual working on various parts of the same vehicle. Its like the
definition of a camel - its a horse put together by a committee. What Jesus
started out with has become a caricature of His Body.
So let us use the tools in the toolbox to first get
ourselves into the bond of unity. All working together in harmony. Let us start
with the manual and get back to basics. Get rid of the additions to the Word
like infant baptism; worship of Mary; false revival like "toronto";
divisions based on doctrinal differences.
We must be born again, baptised as adults thereafter and
then receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He gives us 9 gifts to first edify
ourselves and then minister to others. Those who teach that the gifts were only
needed until the Bible was published need to rethink that error.
We need the gifts to perfect our ministry. An evangelist
needs miracles and healings; a prophet needs word of knowledge, word of wisdom,
prophecy and discerning of spirits. An intercessor needs all 9 gifts at various
times. We need to understand that the gifts of healings are for the afflicted
people. We do not have a gift of healing to become faith healers.
The signs that follow believers in Mark 16 include
tongues and laying hands on the sick. They also include that no deadly thing
shall harm us. We need to believe that these are true and apply to us all. When
we get this right then the divisions in the invisible body of Christ will
disappear. As we throw off the shackles of false doctrines we will become
united and useful tools in the hands of Jesus to accomplish the greater works.
This epistle just scratches the surface of what needs to
be done. It will, hopefully, start your engines and boost your spirit into making whatever changes are necessary to
prepare the Body of the Bridegroom to rescue His Bride, Israel, from utter
destruction at the hands of the Antichrist.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, there is an urgency in my heart
today to exhort Your people to wake up out of slumber mode and rev their
engines. I feel Your anointing and presence strongly right now. I believe You
are quickening many souls right now to put aside their differences, shun
interfaith, and walk the true walk of Jesus. We must pick up the fallen and
bear witness to the truth. In Jesus' name.
Amen.
