Dividing Soul and Spirit
Scripture: Hebrews 4 v 12:
"For the word of God is quick and powerful and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart."
The Word of God ie THE BIBLE is quick. The word 'quick'
means 'alive' so we understand that The Holy Spirit brings the Word to life
within us - remember that Jesus is also called "The Word" so the more
we read the Bible the Living Jesus comes alive within us in a powerful way. We
have invited Jesus into our heart but to see growth and experience the life
within we need to intelligently study the Bible.
The Word is sharper than any two-edged sword - it cuts
both ways and gets down deep. It especially divides the soul from the spirit.
Why do we need this separation?
Our spirits come from God the Father, who is a Spirit,
and are eternal as God is. Our spirits will never cease to exist but their
final destination is either Heaven or Hell, depending on where our soul is at.
SOS means save our souls. Why do our souls need saving or rescuing?
Where did our souls come from? What happened to put them
in danger? What occurred to us before we were born on Earth that caused us to
born in sin? Like God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1 v 5: Before you were
conceived in your mother's womb I knew you, and I ordained you a prophet.
Things happened to us, serious things, before we were conceived in the womb and
we need to discover what they were so we can co-operate with God to fix them.
When Satan fell from Heaven he took hostages as leverage!
The hostages were held captive in his realm where their spirits were clothed in
an unnatural shell called a soul. In our souls is the compressed knowledge of
our subconscious minds that make psychiatrists wealthy.
Our souls became tormented, ill, oppressed, fearful,
hurt, rejected, raped, molested, drunk, drugged, godless, shattered, comatose,
and dead. They became brainwashed into believing that each identical soul was
now different colours, religions, creeds, philosophies, genders, with different
nations, languages, flags and cultures. All of these must be defended with hate
and war, pride and patriotism, unto death.
God made Earth and then created Adam and Eve, the first
bodies of flesh for the tormented and now evil, God-rejecting souls to manifest
in order to reveal what could be done to save them. It answers the question of
why His first perfect humans were so flawed that they yielded to Satan so
easily.
First the Law was given to make them know right from
wrong. Then the Saviour Jesus was sent as He had been the Ransom that was paid
in Satan's realm to release the hostage souls back to God. Jesus was sent to
take our place in that evil realm and He died there before the world was
formed. Rev 13 v 8: "....and the
Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world."
What happened to us and to Him is replayed here on Earth.
His death and resurrection outwitted the enemy, Satan, once for all time. He is
the Living Word who can now divide the terrors and torments and evil in our
souls from our pure and eternal spirits. When we are born again our spirits
become alive to God again!
Jesus says in John 3 v 3 We must be born again or we
cannot perceive Heaven.
No other way or religion can do what Jesus has already
done. He has saved the souls of all mankind - but each man and woman must
agree, choose, desire to accept that salvation for themselves. He will never
force anyone to accept Him but makes sure that all who come to Him will never
be rejected.
He knows every thought, temptation, motive of our hearts
and He experienced it all too. This makes Him our Great High Priest able to
help whenever we call on Him. He needs to divide our souls from our spirits
through the power and life in His Word. This is a lifelong work that yields
peace, love, joy, freedom from sin, pain, fear, torment.
Since the Lord revealed this knowledge to me starting in
1979 and still adding things up to today, I realised that Genesis was not the
absolute beginning, but it is the beginning of our ability to choose if we will
follow God or Satan. It was in Eden that humans were given free will and we
have that today.

Prayer: Father God Your plan was simple yet profound.
Rescue them all, send a Deliverer, bring them back to life. The enemy opposes
this plan constantly. Father, open our eyes so that we may outwit him and be
useful helpers to rescue the lost. Raise up an army of believers O Lord to
fight the good fight and see Your victory for everyone of them. In Jesus' name.
