Don't Worry!

Don't Worry!

Scripture: Matthew 6 v 33 - 34:
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

The world is full of worry! Its even possible to worry about everything. Worry about the past, the present and the future robs us of peace and contentment. If you do not have Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour that would be worth worrying about.

The above scriptures have been proven true not only in my life, but over the past nearly 2000 years, in every person who has trusted Jesus with everything. He overcame the world by taking authority over the evil being who rules it and then giving that same authority to us saying 'Occupy till I return!'

Unfortunately, not enough people believed Him and the world is now in a sorry mess - financially, spiritually, geographically, job-wise, disease, emotionally and mentally. There are endless groups, government bodies, organisations and think tanks trying to solve the various crises the world is in. The news is not encouraging and worry increases daily.

Jesus is the answer to our sorry state. He alone solved the problem by taking sin to the Cross and nailing it there for all to see. We do not have to live in sin. Its been taken care of. Worry is not only a sin but sin is the reason we worry. Its like smoking. Whatever the reason you enjoy those cigarettes you know that there is a possibility it could give you a deadly disease. So you worry secretly and there may be fear attached. As Job said "that which you greatly fear shall come upon you!" Or indiscriminate sexual activity leaves you worrying if you may be pregnant or have HIV/AIDS.

We worry about the future even while we sing "Because He lives I can face tomorrow because I know, YES I KNOW, He holds the future and life is worth the living just because He lives." He says give no thought for tomorrow, trust Me to handle everything before it happens. But do we? We have made worldly provision for every eventuality so what is left for us to trust Jesus for?

We have a heavenly Father who loves us so much more than any Earthly parent. He knows our every need long before we do and has made provision for it. Somehow I manage to live very comfortably and support two others on less than the minimum wage. I pay rent, electricity, food and extras out of an income by faith of about R6000 per month which works out to less than £250 or $400 monthly. The Lord truly stretches our 2 fish and 5 loaves!

If there is a time of terrible tribulation ahead, the Lord has already prepared me over many years to trust Him for everything. What if your monthly income was suddenly reduced to zero? And you had never learned to depend on God for the food on your table, house payments, living expenses?

The Antichrist will announce that without his mark on hand or forehead you cannot buy nor sell. From today. No warning.   You are unable to work, run a car, buy food, do anything. If you take that mark, the Word says you condemn yourself to eternal hell. Jesus says "Don't worry I have everything under control!" Would you suddenly be able to trust Him for everything?

The Antichrist will take over all banks and financial institutions and wipe out your life savings, pensions, insurance and medical schemes as his first line of business. Your only hope of keeping your home is if there is no debt on it. Anything you owe to banks will become his property. I am not trying to scare you. We are already well into the New World Order. This is a situation that is not far off.

I do not want anyone to be caught by surprise when the world spins out of control and you may become one of those weary, helpless, homeless migrants trudging across Europe hoping for some love, that appear on our TV screens in such despair.  Jesus wants to spare you that pain and anguish but you need to start learning to trust Him ahead of time as in a time of panic you might take the mark and become lost to Him.

So seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and you will have everything you need. Trust Him to look after you in any crisis and see you safely through it. Wean yourself off depending on worldly support for everything and put your treasure where it cannot be stolen. Invest in your heavenly account by being part of the solution and not the problem.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for making provision for every eventuality in our lives. Peace comes when our faith is in You and not worldly institutions. Help us, Father, to change the way we live so You get the glory for our many blessings. In Jesus' name. Amen.
