The Bride

The Bride

Scripture: Revelations 21 v 9, 10, 12:
"...Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the pirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel."

John 3 v 29: "He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy is therefore fulfilled."

Years ago I was taught through various preachers that the church was the Bride of Jesus Christ and we were waiting for the Rapture to be taken up to the Heavenly Wedding Feast. I knew no different and was satisfied until the Lord pointed out while I was receiving revelation from Him that it does not line up with the Word.

Ephesians 1 v 22 - 23: "And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all."

Jesus is the Head of the church which is His body. This makes up the Bridegroom whom John acknowledged in John 3. The Bride is Israel, the chosen people; with whom a covenant was made; the Law given; promises made. God will keep all His promises to her.

The body of Christ is the body of the Bridegroom. In the Rapture the body will rise to meet the Head in the sky. Once His head and body are re-united the Marriage Feast will begin, or rather continue after its interruption in Heaven, when Lucifer left the party to ravish Jesus' Bride.

This started the war which broke out in Heaven between Michael the archangel with his angels, and Lucifer and his angels, which ended with the bride being taken into the "Six Days Realm".

So the Marriage Feast, based on ancient Jewish wedding ceremonies, continues until the Bridegroom chooses to fetch His bride. Anything from 3 to 7 days. She should be waiting with her lamp lit and shining in the window. He will go to her house and take her to His Father's house where the marriage will be consummated. Then they rejoin the Feast.

The Bride's house is the House of Israel, which will be in the throes of Armageddon when Jesus and millions of His saints, his Body, arrive in the midst and He slays two thirds of that world army of 200 million soldiers.  And rescues His Bride from their deadly intentions. The marriage feast carries on in perfect harmony and joy.

The bride has been brought back to her own land to prepare for her marriage. The Antichrist, who was Lucifer, now Satan, is still trying to destroy her and evict her out of her house. He still wants God's throne and part of his plan is to first make peace with her (the Peace treaty) and declare himself God in the rebuilt Temple. This is the abomination that desecrates the Temple Jesus said would happen.

So the final act in this drama will unfold here on Earth. His Bride rejected Him in Heaven; in Eden as Eve; in Jerusalem saying crucify Him; and will once more when she signs the Antichrist Peace Treaty. Only when the abomination of the Temple occurs will her eyes be open to the truth. She has been enticed, tempted, murderous and treacherous but Jesus has never stopped loving her. And we as His body should love her too.

Prayer: Father God, we are filled with awe when we see Your whole plan laid out before us. We need to know what happened before this world was formed and how its going to end. It gives us hope and increases our faith to know it is nearly over. Help us to keep our perspective so we do not fear. In Jesus' name. Amen.
