Spiritual Blindness

Scripture:  Isaiah 42 v 6, 7, 16:
"I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.  ...And I will bring the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.   These things I will do unto them and not forsake them."

I started my walk with Jesus 42 years ago and one of the first inklings I had of the work He had for me to do was this portion of scripture.  At the time I wondered what it all meant but I was keen to do whatever it took to achieve.  Ten years later the Lord separated me into the ministry, and by separated I mean He exiled me from formal church structures.

He wanted me to see the big picture and not be influenced by any particular spiritual leaning.  I had to discard everything I had learned and start over.  The first area that Jesus wanted deal with was my own spiritual blindness.   It was tough doing this soul and mind cleanse, and it took time, but the result was what Jesus required, a clean slate to begin the lessons He wanted me to learn.

I had to leave behind all preconceived notions and sit at His feet as He removed the scales from my eyes.  Only then could I begin to see the big picture.  Researching the Bible with it's Author is an experience of a lifetime.  Learning to love what He loved and reject what He rejected was very instructive.  Removing barriers caused by the doctrines of man needed much strength, but eventually the truth emerged from the debris.

This is the 498th Bible Study on Prophetic Fire's blog, covering everything Jesus has taught me, and continues to teach me.  His purpose is to open the blind eyes, not the physical sense but the spiritual one.  He wants the prisoners of error to come out of darkness into His light and walk in newness of Life.  Examine what you believe against the actual Bible texts and get rid of traditions handed down for centuries that contradict the pure Word of God.

Infant baptism or Christening is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.  It does not exist!  But those who were baptised as babies, without a say in it, reject being baptised in water after they are born again, not realising that a vital component of their salvation is now missing.  Being baptised is a decision only you can make for yourself.  Mark 16 v 16 says, he that believes and is baptised will be saved.  This is the truth.  After you have heard the gospel, believed in Jesus, confessed your sins, been forgiven and cleansed by His Blood, then you get baptised.  If you feel that you have a good case for not obeying this scripture, don't wait to discuss it with Jesus after you have passed on.  Just saying.

I had to relearn who the Bride of Christ actually is!  I had to unlearn that the church is the Bride.  I found verses which stated clearly that the Bride is Israel, and that the church is the Body of Christ.  John 3 v 29; Revelation 21 v 9-12; tell me that Jesus head plus body is the Bridegroom and the New Jerusalem consisting of 12 tribes of Israel is the Bride.  In the Rapture the Body of Christ will rise into the heavens to meet Jesus the Head of the body in the sky.  The completed Bridegroom will return to Earth to rescue the Bride from Armageddon.  This is what Jesus taught me.

These are just two things but can you see how many millions of people have been deceived for an untold number of years!  There are many other errors that have been written about on this blog.  Or you can do your own research.  But it is time to get the whole church in order before its too late.  Take what I am saying today before the Lord and ask Him to show you the truth.  This is my prayer for you today.
