The Bombing of Britain
Scripture: Daniel 7 v 7 - 9: "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that went before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things. And I beheld until the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair on his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels of burning fire."
I can hear the sound of eyebrows being raised as you try to imagine how this passage of scripture relates to the bomb that hit Britain yesterday. The bomb was first the referendum result to leave the EU, followed by the crash of pound sterling, followed by the resignation of the PM, David Cameron, while stock markets everywhere reeled.
To all this was added the fear of an uncertain future as the United Kingdom felt the pressure from Scotland and Northern Ireland wanting their own chance to leave Britain to stay in the EU. The EU felt the blowback as other nations felt encouraged that they could also leave.
The Beast in the scriptures above is referring to the reformation of the old Holy Roman Empire in Europe, which was under the whip of Rome for centuries. The EU, which was born out of the Treaty of Rome in 1960, as the aftermath of WW2, as Angela Merkel mentioned in her speech yesterday, is this big group that will be whittled down to just 10 nations. The horns are nations from which three have been uprooted.
Britain was or is a horn, which depicts a nation of importance and authority. In the near future it will be seen that satellite nations in the EU drop out and another two horns will be uprooted. Out of the ten remaining horns, a little horn, or a single person, will emerge.
The original Holy Roman Empire was a great and dreadful beast, and the one to come will be even worse. The little horn is none other than the Antichrist ruler of the ten horns, and eventually the whole world. Daniel kept watching the unfolding drama until ALL the thrones, or seats of power, of the ten horns were cast down, i.e. totally destroyed.
This was followed by the Day of Judgment by the Ancient of Days, Jesus Christ, when the books were opened, which tells us how close to these End Times we now are, and how many are ignorant of that fact.
The Bombing of Britain yesterday should be viewed as the blessing and mercy of Jesus Christ! I thought a lot about why England, and why the sudden isolation is looming from Scotland and Ireland, and perhaps Canada and Australia. I watch PMQ's on a Wednesday, when the PM answers questions in the House of Commons, and lately he has been emphasizing "Christian England"!
This brings the nation under the love and power of the Almighty in line with 2 Corinthians 6 v 14, 17-18: "Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?....Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you, and will be a Father to you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
So I prophesy to England and all its citizens: Fear not the things that have come upon you in these days, says the Lord, for it is I who have cherished you to bring you out of darkness into light. I have seen the hearts of this nation and many have cried out to Me for mercy and for righteousness, says Jesus. You have been oppressed by unseen forces and burdened by those who would be as wolves coming to kill, maim and destroy you. Turn towards Me says Jesus, and I will protect you as I protect Israel, and all those who believe in Me. The days of plenty are closing on all the world but as I sustained Israel in the Wilderness for forty years, so will I do for My people. Trust Me in the days that lie ahead to lead you in the right paths, and many will follow your example to escape the son of perdition. While the evil of this world struggles, showers of refreshing shall be your portion, and the sounds of joyful song shall rise into My ears from your land says the Lord.
