Scripture: "And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
When Jesus calls you to follow Him you go through the entry procedures that give you your place in His kingdom from day one. You are born again, baptised in water, baptised in the Holy Spirit, your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and you are a citizen of Heaven with eternal life. Day one!
Everything you are and have is now under the control of Jesus, who wants to sort out the unnecessary baggage and dump it, and build on the love, truth, good elements of your life. He wants to heal you and set you apart for His purpose, which is unique to each individual, and it is His plan to unite you with all other members of His Body, the invisible church, before He returns.
Many pastors, teachers, prophets, are trying to make this happen with endless programs on leadership and self improvement. If we do it like this we will never be in the kind of unity God is seeking for us. Too many pastors etc have different agendas, and differ to the point of hostility on how to achieve their aims.
We must remember that we are all equal in His eyes, and differ only in the purposes the Holy Spirit appoints for us individually or in groups. We need to scrap all man-made ideas and get in line with what the will of God is for us. We need to fast and pray to get His direction and compass reading.
The will of God is one holy Body, without blemish, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, following Jesus obediently according to His Word. This is the opposite of Interfaith and the One World Church under the power of Antichrist. All the rules, laws, programs and humanitarian agendas are part of his plan to attempt to outwit God Almighty and stave off an eternity of unquenchable fire for him and all who fall into his hands.
Our God is well able to appoint leaders who are humble, dedicated, committed, loving and truthful people, with no compromise, no twisting of His Word, no hidden agendas. There are so many power and money hungry church leaders who prey upon the flock of God, and He says Woe unto you!
He sent Peter to Feed My Sheep and Lambs, and that is what we must be about, not feeding ourselves to show our prominence and importance. Jesus was always about His Father's business, and so should we be! Take some time to evaluate whether you will follow Jesus all the way or whether you need to harvest your own fields.
If you truly know Him and what He has saved you from, you will do everything in your power every minute of the day to fit in with His perfect will for you, no matter what it costs you, no matter what you seem to lose, to gain His approval, unseen by the world or other believers. These are the people He is coming back for, who will be raptured to meet Him in the air as He promised.
I speak prophetically now: My Beloved people, come out from among the wolves and predators who abuse your love and kindness to usurp your goodness to disguise their selfish intentions. Come follow Me into the land of plenty, where the flocks will be watered and fed from My hand. For I am the Shepherd who tends you, I am He who loves you and laid down My life for you. Follow Me because I will lead you in the narrow path that leads to life, and few there be that find it. Put your faith in Me for I will never deceive you. I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me. This is My anointed word to you today. Those who heed it will have the strength and endurance to follow Me to the very end and will rejoice with Me in Our Kingdom forevermore.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive us for straying off the narrow path for our own selfish pleasures when so much is at stake. Put us back on the Righteous way to follow Jesus back to our eternal home. Show us truth from error so we don't make the same mistakes again. We seek the unity of the Body of Jesus and the right direction on Your compass heading. In Jesus' name. Amen.
