Scripture: John 6 v 44: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 12 v 32: "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."
People are drawn to Jesus through the power of the Cross, not an object of the Cross, but by preaching the truth about what it has done, and is still doing in our lives.
The Father, who sent Jesus to make a way for us to be reconciled to Him, draws us through His love for us. For God so loved the world that He sent His Son. He sent the very best hope, the top plan, to rescue every sinner.
Sinners inhabit the world, which is Satan's system of sin, slavery, servitude and slander. He controls the souls of the lost through lies, rumours, threats, blackmail and ruthless ambition. All religions are in His domain; all the world's government's are his toys; all plaster saints are his currency.
Into this evil system is inserted by God "the measure of Faith"! Part of the negotiations for those who are hostage to sin is that the Father gives to every person born on Earth this measure of faith to believe in Jesus, the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind.
Satan fights this faith with his considerable arsenal of lies, to keep people enslaved to his system. His religions are all cults which have severe emotional and mental bondage. Any who try to leave are threatened with death or torture. Each one claims to be the only right way. Each one claims to be peaceful but the fruit of violence and death grows daily.
Through the measure of faith the Father draws sinners to Jesus. The Holy Spirit convicts them of sin i.e. they develop a conscience concerning their activities. All have sinned and fallen short of God's standard, but He offers a pardon. Total amnesty, all sins cancelled by one application of the Blood shed by Jesus on the Cross. It cancels the death sentence an unrepentant sinner will pay.
Those who enter in without the conviction of sin and tearful repentance seldom experience true conversion from sinner to saint. They seem to resist water baptism which causes an exchange of our sinful nature for the righteous nature of Jesus. It kills off the plans Satan had for you and brings you in line with God's plan for you to have an abundant life.
The conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment that the Holy Spirit brings upon a sinner is that which draws people to Jesus. They want that horrible guilty feeling to go. They want the love, forgiveness, truth, joy and peace that Jesus alone can give them.
They need to overcome the lies of the enemy brainwashed into their minds so they must read the Bible daily to renew their minds according to the Word of God. Romans 12 v 1. They need to throw out every religious idea they were exposed to in the world, and conform to the formation of Jesus Christ within their heart.
In every situation we must be drawn to serve Jesus before ourselves or our family or friends. We must be drawn to do the will of God and not please ourselves. This is the opposite of how our lives were in the world. We must unlearn Satan's selfish, ruthless, ugly ways and learn to follow the loving, truthful, gentle ways of Jesus.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You have drawn thousands of millions of the lost into Your Kingdom. Thank You for saving so many of us. Many more need to be drawn by the preaching of truth, the conviction of sin and the love of Jesus. Father help us to do everything we can to reach out to those still trapped in sin. We must outwit the strategies of our enemy and release our brethren. In Jesus' name. Amen.
