Pure Grace

Scripture: Romans 5 v 20 - 21; 6 v 1 - 2: "Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Revelation 21 v 7-8: "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

My mandate from our Heavenly Father is to reveal that which is true, right, just and pure in order to bring unity to the Body of Christ.  The anointing of a Watchman is a serious responsibility to sift through the errors that many believe are gospel truth and try to rectify them.

God wants everybody to be saved. His grace, mercy and compassion gives forgiveness of sin to every human being ever born.  To receive this grace of forgiveness, we must enter into a covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father.  There is only one mediator of this covenant and His name is Jesus Christ.  He says in John 3 v 3 that we must be born again in our spirit, and baptised in water to enter into this covenant.

When we repent of our sins, show remorse and sorrow, plus change our minds about wanting to sin, God applies the Blood Jesus shed on the Cross to our lives and all record of sin is blotted out.  Our name is then written in the Lamb's Book of Life and we are sanctified i.e. declared to be a saint because you are now holy and sinless.  You live above the law and will never be subject to it.

Hebrews 6 v 4 - 6:  "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

However, there is no "supergrace" that allows you to continue living a sinful life without backsliding.  Just be sure that you do not descend to the level mentioned in Hebrews above where you put Jesus to an open shame.  That is where you lose God's pure grace and Revelation 3 v 5 says that your name shall be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life.  There will be groaning and gnashing of teeth.

We must avoid this state of affairs at all costs.  We must follow the Lamb and know what His Word says and obey it.  We must separate ourselves from those who are unruly and whose teachings are contrary to the Bible.  John said Little children flee from idols.  He calls us to know what idols warp our lives and flee from them.

An idol can be described as anything or anyone who is more important to you than Jesus Christ.  Some people make idols of their own intellect and their minds seem so superior to the mind of Christ.  Their philosophies outweigh the truth of the Bible and they will stand before the Almighty Judge one day seriously regretting it.

Your job can become an idol.  Your car, hobbies, children, pets, achievements in sport, trophies, status can render you an idolater.  If these things block you from a true and total commitment to the Saviour of your soul through His own death, the Bible declares that you are unfit for the kingdom of Heaven.

It is a strait and narrow path that leads to Life.  Few there be that find it.  When you do His grace keeps you on it.  You learn to live a more simple life that is filled with amazing insights and revelations that go far beyond the mundane treadmill of this world.  You enter in to life lived in the Spirit and it is the complete opposite of life lived in the world.

The power of the grace of God leads you to unseen treasures as you become attuned to hear His voice so clearly.  God's riches at Christ's expense.  There are heights and depths of spiritual experiences that make your relationship with the Lord the most precious and valuable reality you will ever have.  Seek it with your whole heart, mind and soul and you will find it.

God's grace gives you the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are deep treasures bringing powerful help to people in need.  Some people do not understand the gifts and rather discard them.  You do not have to understand how a power station works to turn on the lights and have electric power flow into your home.  It's a poor substitute for the power of the Holy Spirit flowing in your life.

My beloved friends, do not be deceived by the wiles of the devil or the corruption of men, even those in the church.  Check everything put before you for spiritual truth or error.  There are many doctrines of men abounding in the church, and no amount of the grace of God will spare those who add or subtract from His Word.

Live your life close to the heart of God and He will cover you with His grace.  Be humble and quick to repent of any error or sin.  Walk in the light as Jesus is in the light and His blood will cleanse you of all sin.  We are not perfect, and we do stupid mistakes but if we sincerely confess our faults He will forgive us.  Just never take Him for granted nor tempt Him.  He does not play mind games.

Prayer: Father God, we stray often and the Good Shepherd rounds us up and tends our wounds by Your mighty grace.  Guide us that we do not stray beyond the limits of Your love and grace. Let us be mindful of the debt we can never repay and give Him all the glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
