Scripture: Revelations 12 v 11: "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."
Everything that is happening on this planet today started first in the heavenlies before time was. The Archangel Lucifer challenged Almighty God as he wanted to rule the universe.
Isaiah 14 v 12 - 15: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."
There after Lucifer had a new name. Revelation 12 v 7 - 9: "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Lucifer became Satan the Devil and the Dragon and a deceiver of mankind. He chose Earth as his base of operation by causing Adam and Eve to eat his sinful Apple thereby opening the Pandora's Box of evil and pain on this Earth.
Jesus Christ our Saviour left His Heavenly Kingdom and set aside His glory to manifest as a human to show us how to overcome evil. He gave us His power and authority to discern and cast out demons and set people free of their torments.
Satan is a great legalist and wields his power through laws, rights, rites, rituals and rules. Those who are in His kingdom, that is everyone who is not a born again Christian, are subject to his laws and rules. Almighty God in the Old Covenant gave the law to Moses for the Jews to follow to head off the worst of it. The rest of the world suffered tyranny similar to the Jews under Pharoah.
One of the big evils was slavery. Strong nations capturing weaker ones and taking the fittest men to be workers and the most beautiful girls to become their sex slaves. This sexual slavery continues to this day and there seems to be no way of stopping it. It is guestimated that 20 million people, mostly children, are held in captivity as sexual slaves right now.
Jesus came to set them free but first He must set us free to realise that the authorities in government and police forces and churches are not doing much about it. In fact it is shameful to know that many of them as part of the problem and actively hinder the solution to it.
How did the Israelites get free of Pharoah? They put their trust in Almighty God and through a series of judgments on Pharoah and the Egyptian people they finally escaped.
In the New Covenant Jesus revealed our enemy as Satan and his followers. Our blockage is sin which He removed by His Blood and death. He tells us that we overcome Satan by His Blood and the word of our testimony, and we are willing to die for what we believe in. We declare what the Blood does for us and command the enemy to depart.
We have a testimony of what Jesus has done for us. If we never share our salvation with anyone and tell people how God rescued us from sin, shame and death, we never become a witness for Jesus to those who deny Him. We gamble on whether He will do the same to us when we stand before His judgment seat.
South Africa is facing a massive crisis of a rogue government propped up by unseen forces of evil. The demons are controlling those in authority who call on them continuously. They listen to shamans and witchdoctors with their predictions and submit to the familiar spirits posing as dead ancestors. They indulge in tribal witchcraft ceremonies before they attend church and pretend to worship God.
The result is chaos in our Treasury and failed leadership everywhere else. The people have lost confidence in them and are now rising up in churches, society, groups, opposition parties en masse to oust the president and his cohorts and save South Africa from the scrapheap.
Almighty God will respond to the cries of His people as He did in Egypt and elsewhere. We need revival and truth and His resurrection power to break through centuries of witchcraft which causes much division, racism, tension and confusion. Prayer and fasting can break the chains and bring about change. The strongholds are already being shaken to their core and we know we will see victory through faith in Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, this world system is collapsing and we need Your Kingdom to come and replace it. We need a continual supply of edible food and fresh water and thank You for meeting all our needs. Father forgive us for all our sins as we forgive those who have hurt us. Deliver us from evil to overcome the wiles of the Devil. Fill us with the love and peace of Jesus forever. Amen.
