Scripture: John 8 v 32: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
2 Timothy 2 v 8 - 9: "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was."
Johannes and Jambres were magicians and wizards in Pharoah's palace who could mimic the power that Moses had when his staff turned into a snake. Their staffs also turned into snakes but Moses' snake devoured their snakes.
This week South Africa and those watching this nation were shocked at the Wikileaks type exposure of serious evil in our government and its friends. Over 200,000 emails that brave whistle blowers have leaked to the South African media have confirmed that our government is under the control of a shadow state with our president very much a puppet.
It has taken many years for the apparatus of "state capture" to be put in place. President Zuma said two election campaigns ago that the African National Congress would rule until Jesus comes back. If he had inside knowledge on the timeline of the Second Coming this blessed event - for some - may be sooner than we think.
Ephesians 6 v 12 - 13: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
One part of the armour of God is the girdle of truth. The truth will make us free and cause the perpetrators of evil in high places to proceed no further. So even though we are reeling at what one Indian family has managed to steal from our Treasury and transfer into businesses, bribes, mansions in other countries, they must be panicked at the extent of the knowledge of complete exposure of their evil thefts to all South Africans and whoever else cares.
Our police force and special investigation units have a wealth of information to check before the guilty are apprehended and their assets seized, while any companies doing business with them will be making rapid changes to extricate themselves from the fallout. The major banks in South Africa closed the trading accounts with these people a year ago because they must have seen through the smokescreen.
Many Christians have been praying for the truth to be seen behind this smokescreen and the untouchable president of this country to be accountable to parliament and the people to whom he is a servant. He thinks he is a king or chief that lives above the law. Who has power over people of life, death and everything in between.
He claims to be a Christian and was made an honorary reverend by some misguided group. He is also a traditional African who is steeped in ancestor worship and witchcraft. Matthew 6 says you cannot serve God and mammon and Exodus 20 says you may have no other gods but serve Almighty God only. So there is much confusion and mockery in those who try to mingle Christianity with other religions.
President Zuma apparently said yesterday that He is both a human and a politician, and as a human he has never taken bribes, only as a politician! He has no shame or sense of guilt at the untold misery he has brought to the poorest people of this nation. Personally I believe that the only way the ANC could ever hope to regain credibility and respect is to call a general election right now and forget their endless procedures or delaying tactics which is the way they keep one step ahead of the law.
This message is to bring hope to South Africa that the truth will make us free of the corruption in our government that has reduced our national credit to junk status, caused over 9 million people to be without work in a country that has so much potential. All our state-owned enterprises have been looted to the tune of billions of Rands, which has caused a malfunctioning of infrastructure, schools, education, housing, and basic human needs.
We praise God that He has heard the cry of this nation by opening up the proof so the truth can be established transparently for all to see. He is faithful and will always honour the truth. The arrogant deceivers will be brought low by Him. It will take time to sort this out because the mills of God turn slowly but they grind exceedingly fine. Every detail of truth will be established and known to all.
This is true for everyone who gets into crime and thinks they get away with it. If you do manage to hide from justice for a life time, the eternal judge still has His say. It is just not worth doing evil against others. Rather follow the precepts of the Bible which is The Manufacturer's Handbook for humans, and without which we function poorly.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Jesus is the way, truth and life, and no one comes to You except through Him. Not through Mary, saints or prophets but only through Jesus. He brings us to the truth about life, death and the hereafter, and teaches us to respect, honour and be kind to fellow humans. Sometimes we get this horribly wrong and we ask forgiveness for every lapse. Father, lead us into all truth so we may be free. In Jesus' name. Amen.
