Scripture: Psalms 54 v 2 - 7: "Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies."
I woke up this morning to learn that Israel is under a bombardment from Hamas terrorists firing hundreds of rockets from Gaza into southern parts of the land. This is continuing right now as I write this blog. They are evacuating people from the targeted towns who are screaming with fear.
We immediately started to pray for the Lord to protect His people and asked for His wisdom. We were given the verses above as His answer. We praise His name for the way He has protected Israel against these terrorists for so long now.
Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and others have sworn to wipe out all Jews. They are fighting a losing battle against the power of Almighty God Himself. He calls Israel the Apple of God's Eye. She is His chosen out of all the people on Earth.
He chose Abraham to be the Father of Israel, took him from his own land among the Chaldeans and led him to the Promised Land. His son Isaac begat Jacob and Esau, and Jacob's name was changed by God to Israel.
Romans 9 v 4 - 5: "Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen."
Before Abraham there was Noah, his wife and 3 sons, Shem, Ham and Japhet, plus their wives, the only 8 people on the planet in their day whom God felt were worthy to be saved from the world wide flood. Only pairs of every land animal, birds, insects were spared to replenish the Earth.
Shem was a mighty man who finally defeated the Babylonian monster, Nimrod, on a battleground in Egypt. Nimrod was feared throughout the known world and called by different names in the lands he conquered: Tammuz, Adonis, Osiris, Hercules.
Shem was also known as Hercules after he slew Nimrod and made it known to all the lands he occupied that he was finally dead. The people who were born from Shem were known as Shemites and through time known as Semites. The Jews.
From this we get the word anti-Semitic or haters of Jews. It stems from the original Babylonians who hated Shem for killing Nimrod. They cursed Shem and all his descendants with eternal destruction and annihilation. A never-ending curse being played out right now.
It will end with Armageddon when ALL the armies of the world will join together and advance across the Plains of Megiddo to destroy Israel. It will end badly for the armies of the world because Jesus Christ and multiple millions of His saints (born again Christians who have been caught up to join Him in the air above Earth) will confront them.
This is the Second Coming foretold in the Bible. He will deliver Israel through the Sword coming from His mouth and two thirds of that 200 million strong army will die instantly. The rest will flee.
Ezekiel 39 v 11 - 13: "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD." This is part of the prophecy given by Ezekiel concerning the battle of Armageddon.
This is part of the revelations given to the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos when he was 90 years old.
Revelation 16 v 12 - 17: "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."
Revelation 19 v 15 - 21: "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."
So we know in whom we trust when everything seems to be falling apart in this world. We have faith in God to protect Israel and Christians who are the Body of Christ. Troubled times may be just ahead but know that God can still send Manna and quails to feed us and send water out of the Rock. He said He would never leave us nor forsake us and He means it.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray for Israel to be safe and protected from these rockets. Thank You for Your encouraging Words. We wait for the Rapture that will restore Your redeemed people, the Body, to Jesus, the Head, to complete the Bridegroom, who will rescue Israel, His Bride, at Armageddon. We are ready to go Lord when that trumpet sounds. In Jesus' name. Amen.
