Great God Almighty

Scripture: Jeremiah 32 v 17 - 19: "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: 
 18  Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
 19  Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."

What is easier for us to believe?  Are we the product of evolution or creation by God?  Did we grow from some swamp soup into people who have faith, individual personalities, creativity and talents like beautiful singing voices, mastery of musical instruments, dreams, artworks that cost millions?

Even Charles Darwin on his deathbed said that his Theory of Evolution was a hoax.  Yet it is taught by scholars, professors and scientists as absolute truth, and anyone opposing it is a complete imbecile.  We must choose between believing in Evolution or Creation as they contradict each other.

Evolution cannot produce the miracles of the Bible, as evolution is based on chaos theory.  Out of random, chaotic, chance an amoeba became a creature, out of this creature a variety of birds, animals, fish, mammals, and eventually human beings evolved.  Every human so unique that no two fingerprints ever match.

There is order in our universe and on our planet.  Each kind produces after its own species.  Even Tarzan who was brought up by apes was far different from them.  He had a higher intellect and could speak.  Yes he learned to be like them to survive but when he had the opportunity he fell in love with a woman not an ape.

If Evolution was real we would see billions of hybrids in nature and in humans.  We would be composites of swamp soup and never reach a place of order and discipline in our existence.  Evolution has proved that it does not flow upwards into better and better.  Survival of the fittest and strongest would have seen dinosaurs ruling today.

To have a concept of salvation, sin, a Saviour, we need to believe in God, Great God Almighty.  We need to believe every word written in the Bible, and in Jesus Christ the Son of God, and Truly God, who was the only one who was born sinless and therefore able to challenge sin and overcome it.

In Evolution there is no sin, no conscience, no consequences.  Therefore laws, jails, judges, asylums, care homes are superfluous.  There would be no standards of behaviour, no right or wrong, no morality, sympathy, or love.  We cannot have both.  Out of Evolution Jesus could not come.

Our Great God Almighty would not have existed according to Evolution.  Everlasting life is a myth.  Why do we mourn? Life becomes death....The end. Why do we bother with doctors and hospitals and praying for miracles if there is nothing and no one on the other side of death.

My father was a descendant of Sir Isaac Newton and no stranger to Quantum Physics.  He built power stations around the world, nuclear and electric.  He was a Freemason until 3 weeks before his death when he met Jesus and was born again.  He went from a crabby old man to a person I wish I had known all my life.  

The day before he died he woke up out of a coma to tell me that he could see the pearly gates of Heaven with my mother waiting just inside for him.  He said I will be leaving tomorrow, have a wonderful life.  I love you, farewell.  He slipped back into coma and died at 11 a.m. the following day.  Peaceful and happy.

Evolution denies there is a Heaven, a Creator and the Bible is a myth.  Even if there are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament that were fulfilled in one person Jesus Christ.  Even if He could turn sinners into saints and see them do miracles like raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, open blind eyes, deliver from demons.  None of this can be true if we evolved randomly.

Our God is Mighty and is present to deliver us from the wrath to come. We don't know the day or hour that Tribulation goes from mild to manic but we know the season and we know Him and are known by Him.  We have a relationship that is powerful and beautiful.  We are protected by Him.

About ten years ago when I started online banking I was trapped by a scam and watched as R2000 was illegally removed from my account.  I was in shock.  Then my cell phone rang.  A male voice said, Don't worry, I am a bank technician, I saw what happened and reversed the amount back into your account.

I thanked him and asked if there were other accounts being scammed.  He said thousands.  I asked how many he had helped.  Only you, he said and hung up.  I went immediately to my bank, praising the Lord all the way.  The money had gone out and been returned.  I asked for the name of this technician to honour him in some way.  They said there is no technician such as this and no way your money could have been restored in this way.  Yet it was.   God protects us and makes a way of escape when there is no way.  He is real.

A few days later a woman claiming to be from the bank phoned to enquire how I had got my money back.  I soon suspected she was phoning on behalf of the crooks.  I enjoyed giving her a full account of the gospel of Jesus.

If you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit you are safe. Jesus will show you what to do. Its the unsaved who will suffer the most and not even know why. Its our duty and calling to speak the truth to them in love.  They need to know our Great God Almighty.


Prayer: Heavenly Father, our Great God Almighty, forgive us for letting false teachings cloud our hearts and minds that only trouble us and bring doubt and unbelief.  Let us be clear in our faith and strong in our belief about You.  Your Word says that Jesus Christ is the Creator of all things in Heaven and in the Earth.  Your Word is true.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
