Godly Authority

Scripture: Luke 19 v 17:  "And he said unto him, Well thou good servant; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities."

1 John 2 v 27:  "But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him."

Our Father has a plan to rescue as many souls from destruction that He can use us to reach.  To achieve this goal every Christian needs to be on the same page. There needs to be unity in the Body of Christ plus a united purpose, to begin to understand what we are really doing.

In order to have true Godly authority we need to be under the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This anointing will bring us into harmony with His plan for this day, as well as inspiring long term projects.  To have this anointing we have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, yielded to God's authority, and be faithful and obedient to Him ahead of any other person.

We have to know Him, the Father of us all, hear His voice and follow His directions.  These come via the Holy Spirit into our spirit, which is inside Jesus on the right hand of the Father in Heaven.  Ephesians 2 v 5 - 6: "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"

Being seated together in heavenly places IN Jesus Christ means that our own spirit has been made alive because our sins are forgiven, and is now translated to be part of His Body.  Our spirit is saved and home already.  Halleluia!!

Now we have to develop Godly authority first over our own selves and our environment.  It ensures divine security of our personal borders, i.e. our children, our property, our travel, our finances etc.  Psalm 127 v 1:
"A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."
This means that unless the Lord is watching over us we are vulnerable.  He gave us His authority in Matthew 28 v 18 - 20: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Because we are seated in the Body of Christ in Heaven the full authority He had here is now given to us to go forth and do the things He did to bring the lost into His Kingdom.  That's all He wants to achieve.
Along the way we change, especially to be able to carry out His commands.

The more serious we are about being obedient the more we seek to make changes that will cause people to remark that there is 'something different about you'.  That is our opportunity to share whatever we are led to say about Jesus.  First the Holy Spirit convicts them of sin, then of righteousness.  That change they see in us is the righteousness of Jesus shining through.  The fact that they remark on it means they are ready for more.

The more we learn to walk in the Spirit, and be faithful to carry out what is conveyed to us, the more authority we will have.  The more the Lord trusts us, the more we receive and the more complex the work becomes.  These are not things any person can teach you.  These are things you learn from your Teacher, who is the Holy Spirit Himself.

This is true Christianity at work and gives rise to wonderful worship and praise to the Lord.  What He gives each individual is unique to you until He allows it to be shared.  If He gives us a certain command today, just accept it as being for you alone.  Don't phone, tweet or post on social media to everyone and say God says we must all follow this command, because that is not true and you will have started a new religion!  You have interpreted God's instructions incorrectly and passed this new word onto others thus forming a new law contrary to Him.

This is an example of how every division in the Body of Jesus Christ got started!  It's time to correct these false inserts into the truth so we can be truly obedient and faithful to Him, and receive the reward of far reaching authority. You can do a hundred leadership courses and never experience Godly authority because it only comes from being in full submission to the will of God.

Calvinists cannot explain John 3 v 16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

They believe that God chose who would be saved before the world was formed so then Jesus only died for the chosen and not for everybody.  God said whosoever believes will be saved, so that must include everyone.  They made a new religion contrary to His love and Word, and legalised His grace.  It's a division in His Body that needs to change.

We have to thoroughly cleanse ourselves of every worldly pursuit and be firm in not allowing the world to control us.  To follow Jesus through Gethsemane and Golgotha to God gives us fellowship with the Godhead, and correct understanding and obedience to His will.  If every Christian lived it out we would have Heaven on Earth.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I submit myself to Your will and loving purpose so that Your  authority will rest upon me to follow the rescue plan for every soul.  I follow in Jesus' footsteps to avoid the world and its sins.  Teach me to obey You in all things so You can trust me with critical missions.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
