Control Your Environment

Scripture:  Matthew 8 v 24 - 27: "And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25  And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26  And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"

One of the hottest topics in the world today revolves around the environment and climate change.  With a record-breaking heatwave from a plume of heat from the Sahara hitting Europe right now, this is the right time to find out if we can control our environment.  The headlines shout out, this is the week from Hell!

Jesus said in Matthew 28 v 18 - 20: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Jesus said ALL power is given to Him in Heaven and on Earth.  We are in Him and He is in us therefore we have His power and authority over the elements, over wind and waves, over fish in the sea, over demons and even over insects.

There was the testimony from a woman in Alabama during tornado season some years back.  She was praying hard because the tv warned that a tornado had touched down in her suburb.  She stood on her front porch and saw it coming straight towards her.  She saw the face of Satan in the funnel and she rebuked him saying, Satan, in the name of Jesus, get that thing out of here!  He heard her and the twister turned left and headed out of town with zero damage to anyone.  She knew her Bible, and the power of Jesus.  Satan has to bow.

When a storm came and the waves were raging, a gale blowing the sails of their fishing boat, the disciples of Jesus were terrified.  Jesus was in the boat and He rebuked the waves and calmed the storm.  The wind died down and the amazed crew said amongst themselves, Who is this man that even the wind and waves do obey Him?

He cursed the fig tree and within 24 hours it was dead.  The Romans demanded taxes, Jesus told Matthew to cast a hook into the sea and a fish would deliver a coin into his hand to pay tax for them both.  The last words in the gospel of John were that if everything Jesus did was written down it would fill all the books ever written.
Matthew 17 v 27: "Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee."

Jesus is the firstfruits of a new creation, a being that was formerly only human, but now is born again into the Kingdom of God and able to do miracles, healing the sick, controlling the environment, raising the dead, breaking Satan's power over storms and tornadoes, taking authority over demons and living the abundant life.

I can testify to all these things, except for the tornado I have seen all the above, and even more.  I had to be bold and fearless, full of faith and a knowing that this is how Jesus wants us to be.  I was stung by a joke I heard about two angels laughing because Christians were trying to curse a fig tree.  They said that after 2000 years they had not progressed beyond fig trees!  And its true.

John 14 v 12: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
Whenever Jesus says "verily, verily"  it means please pay extra special attention to this!

The world is in a heap of trouble trying to reduce carbon emissions to try tame the genie that escaped out of the bottle and caused irreversible global warming.  We have until 2050 to get it back in the bottle.  We must have a new plan by then, the New brains on the block must solve the damage the previous generation caused.  What a legacy.

If we suggest that Jesus can fix it if we only turn our hearts towards Him and repent of our sins.  He will heal our land.  If every land did this, He would heal the whole world.  However the scoffers and mockers have taken charge and they know better.

When Jesus went home to Nazareth He could do no miracles because of unbelief.  He healed a few sick people but the ingredient needed to make wonders happen was missing.  And in today's world it is missing too.  So many churches are running on lukewarm, many are running on empty fumes and many have had their candlestick removed.

The only way we can win this environmental tragedy is by total belief in Jesus and using the authority He has given us to fight against Satan who is trying to tear this planet apart before his time is up.  It is always the power struggle between good and evil, the Christ and the Antichrist, right and wrong, truth and error.

The megalomaniac Antichrist is still convinced he is winning but the back of the Book says otherwise.  He knows what it says but still believes he holds enough souls as leverage to sway the odds in his favour.  Our job is to occupy till Jesus returns.  Occupy the spiritual position of No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and we overcame him with the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

We can secure our patch by commanding Satan to keep his mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches and ants away from our habitat.  He must be rebuked and his invading insects shown the door.  In Jesus' name.  And if he does not comply, penalize him.  I told him if I ever hear a mosquito he will have headphones strapped to his ears and with volume at 1000 times louder than I can hear it, for one day x every minute I was harassed by it.  That was years ago and I cannot remember when I last heard or even saw a mosquito.

We live in an area prone to cockroaches.  Seen two in a year.  In my home when I lived in Johannesburg, we were infested with little black ants.  The day after we dedicated that house to Jesus and commanded every evil thing to depart, every single ant came together in a stream and marched out of the front door never to return.  O glorious Jesus! Nothing is too difficult for You.

If we mean business with God, we can ask what we will and it will be done.  Psalm 37 v 3 - 5: "Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Nothing delights Him more than Faith on a grand scale.  Jesus often murmured at His disciples, O Ye of little faith!  We must believe for bigger things, and when they happen rejoice and share and inspire everyone to pray without ceasing.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Jesus wondered if He would find faith on Earth when He returned.  Lord even if its only me, I have faith for many.  I have unshakeable, unbreakable faith because I have seen You do the utterly impossible many times.  I love You, Lord, and pray for those who know You to trust You more, have greater faith, stronger belief, to triumph over our environment and every other thing until the end comes.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
