Scripture: Luke 19 v 17: "And he said unto him, Well thou good servant; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities."
1 John 2 v 27: "But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him."
Our Father has a plan to rescue as many souls from destruction that He can use us to do. To achieve this goal every Christian needs to be on the same page. There needs to be unity in the Body of Christ plus a united purpose, to begin to understand what we are really doing.
In order to have true Godly authority we need to be under the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This anointing will bring us into harmony with His plan for this day, as well as inspiring long term projects. To have this anointing we have to be yielded to God's authority, to be faithful and obedient to Him ahead of any other person.
We have to know Him, the Father of us all, hear His voice and follow His directions. These come via the Holy Spirit into our spirit, which is inside Jesus on the right hand of the Father in Heaven. These instructions are written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit for us to obey, trusting the Lord to work with us.
Ephesians 2 v 6: "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"
This means that as we were all drawn to Him on the Cross, we were in Jesus when He died, we were in Jesus in the tomb, and we were in Him when He was resurrected from death to life. We were in Him when He ascended to Heaven and are now in Him in Heaven.
This is the difference between Christianity and every other religion on Earth. Our authority comes because we know we are seated in Christ and He is in us here on Earth, continuing His ministry through us.
The divine mystery of the exchange made in the waters of baptism, we, ie our spirit, died in sin before we were even born, so when we were buried with Him in baptism, what followed was being resurrected when we came up our of the water. Our spirit is now seated in Christ in Heaven, and He is in us here on Earth to continue His work and ministry through us.
The more we learn to walk in the Spirit, and be faithful to carry out what is conveyed to us, the more authority we will have. The more the Lord trusts us, the more we will receive and the more complex the work becomes. These are not things any person can teach us. These are things that are learnt from our Teacher, who is the Holy Spirit Himself.
This is true Christianity at work and gives rise to wonderful worship and praise to the Lord. What He gives you is unique to you until He allows it to be shared.
When religious traditions become more important than obedience to the Word of God then scripture gets twisted to make the tradition fit. Every time this happens and grows to become the norm it creates an error that divides the church from the absolute truth.
This is an example of how every division in the Body of Jesus Christ got started! It's time to correct these false inserts into the truth so we can be truly obedient and faithful to Him, and receive the reward of far reaching authority. You can do a hundred leadership courses and never experience Godly authority because it only comes from being in full submission to the will of God.
You have to thoroughly cleanse yourself of every worldly pursuit and apply yourself to not allowing the world to control you. To follow Jesus through Gethsemane and Golgotha to God gives you fellowship with the Godhead, and correct understanding and obedience to His will. If every Christian lived it out we would have Heaven on Earth.
This is called 'dying to self', and Satan is frantically trying to reverse this to bring us back under his control. If he had known beforehand what the resurrection plan of God was, he would never have crucified Jesus. His strategy is to break our faith, ruin our reputation and undermine our spiritual authority.
If we are faithful to God's truth, and refuse to compromise with the ever-increasing, politically correct traditional and legal errors in the Church, He will give us authority over ten cities. Spiritual authority to pray for all the citizens of those cities. Authority to bind all demonic activity over those ten cities - drugs, murder, corruption, rape, theft etc. It takes time and patience but its worth it.
South Africa has run into a headwind with our God since they closed our embassy in Israel. Any South African wanting to visit Israel will have to fly to Kenya to get a visa. The African National Congress, who govern South Africa, has lost whatever authority they had with God by undermining Israel and supporting her enemies. God is not mocked and He will do to them as they have done to Israel. Close them down! There are much better options waiting in the wings!
Right now the lungs of our planet are on fire. The Amazon Rain Forests are burning out of control from over 80,000 fires. The G7 council of world leaders has today pledged to help finance to put these fires out. Peru and Argentina are sending help.
Brazil was a nation that welcomed and sheltered the Nazi elite who fled from the wrath of the world at the end of WW2. Fled from the Holocaust of 6 million dead Jews. Our God has a long memory and His judgment is true. As sarin gas burned the lungs of His chosen people to death, and the world had no pity, He will have His vengeance.
Romans 12 v 19 - 20: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head."
This is Godly Authority in action, it is not His will for men to take vengeance. He is very capable of it. We must love the sinner not the sin. We must assist everyone to make peace with God, if they choose not to follow Jesus, that's between them and Him.
So when we understand what we must do to achieve Godly authority, we must use it wisely to promote the Kingdom of God, and to overcome evil. We must know His Word and obey it. We must examine the position of our church concerning tradition over truth and follow the Lord. Time has run out for religious games, we must get serious about eternity now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I submit myself to Your will and purpose so that Your rescue plan for every soul will be fulfilled exactly as it should be. I follow Jesus in His footsteps to avoid the world and its sins. Teach me to obey in all things so You can trust me with critical missions. In Jesus' name. Amen.
