Our Father's Day

Scripture:  John 14 v 8 - 12: "Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

Heavenly Father,
This is Your day.  We long to see You and express our love and adoration to You.  We are so grateful for Your continuous and abiding love for us, for which we feel so undeserving and unworthy.  But because we are in Jesus, He has made us worthy.

We are found worthy to stand in Your awesome presence to feel Your peace, mercy and compassion as You minister Your blessings and grace to us.  We want to bless You with our worship in one accord.

Thank You for all our gifts, treasures and protection from evil.  Thanks for saving our souls from eternal separation from You.  Thank You for forgiving our sins and healing our bodies, delivering us from bondage and making is whole.

Immortal, Invisible, God only wise.......

Holy Holy Holy Lord God Almighty.......

Father we adore You
Lay our lives before You
How we love You.

Whether we sing great hymns or humble choruses our words are never enough to say all we want to say.  At the bottom tip of Africa today started with an eclipse of the Sun which caused the ring of fire to appear.  What a beautiful display of Your blessings to us.

You needed a place for us, Father, where You could care for us, and You chose this barren rock called Earth, and turned it from an unformed, barren stone into this beautiful world.  You formed us out of dust and clay, and breathed Your very breath into our lungs, where it stays until we are called home.  Your wonders never cease.

So today is the day we bless all fathers who love their children with the love You have shown them.  We can only inherit love from You and it flows through us to those around us.  If we have lost our first love, Father please rekindle it and cause it to burn brightly again.

Forgive us every lapse of Faith, or neglect of praying or reading Your Word.  When we don't refill our lives with Your life we are running on empty fumes and in danger of falling away.  Father, lift up every weary soul today and send the power of the Holy Spirit to renew their lives in a meaningful way.  Revive us O God and let Your Spirit rise up in us.

Philip wanted to see You and Jesus told him, If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.  He is the full expression of Who You are, Father.  He always exalted You above Himself.  He always knew that You loved Him and urged people with audible words like, This is My beloved Son, Hear Him.

Father we are going through a crisis of Biblical proportion on Earth this year.  This plague was sprung on us, we did not hear it coming.  It has affected all nations and is spreading more every day.  Father we ask for Your mercy and protection.  It has changed us all forever.  Show us how to tackle this pandemic Your way in this end time experience.

Psalm 91 v 1 - 6: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

Father keep us in Your secret place, safely under Your shadow, we trust in You to keep us from this evil pestilence as Your truth shields us.  We shall not fear the hidden terror of darkness because You surround us with Your peace.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
