Scripture: Luke 11 v 20 - 23: "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth."
These are the actual words of Jesus teaching His followers how to deal with demonic strongholds in the battle for every soul. This war started before the world was formed but it ends here.
We have been given spiritual weapons. 2 Corinthians 10 v 3 - 5: "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
We have been given spiritual gifts like word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discerning of spirits. We have been given the power and authority Jesus had when dealing with demons, sickness, evil of all kinds.
If we never use what He has given us we are not fighting the good fight. In the seven letters to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3 the objective is that we must overcome the wiles of the Devil. This is expected of everybody. We are a kingdom of priests so each one of us has the calling to fight the enemies of God.
God spoke and the creation was done by His Son, The Word. By our words, through the Holy Spirit, we conquer the enemy. We bind the strongman by what we receive from the Lord. Usually the name of the demon that is destroying people's lives.
Ephesians 6 v 12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
We are not in a battle against people but against ruling spirits under Satan's command. We need to know what we are dealing with. We must spend time in prayer and receive information from God our Father.
If we are in a battle against witchcraft we will encounter a strongman called Baphomet. His symbol is the pentagram, the 5 pointed star with a circle around it. In covens a witch or wizard stands at each point of the star and they chant the name of Baphomet to empower them to do magic etc. So if we pray for people who have been saved by Jesus but need help getting free of witchcraft, Baphomet is the strongman.
Learn to recognise the nature of a witch.....rebellion, idolatry, blackmail, possessiveness, causes division, malice, controlling, jealous, domination. Each one of these is "the goods in his (the strongman's) house".
So to completely set a witch free we must bind the Strongman, Baphomet, first. Paralyze and gag him. Then we can spoil the goods, demons, under His control. I always divide these demons so they cannot communicate or interact with each other. Then deal with them one by one. Bind and rebuke them in Jesus' name and send them back to Hell. They can be noisy, and the person may spit up phlegm but that's the demon leaving. Never pray deliverance from demons alone for anyone. Jesus sent the disciples two by two for a reason.
Remember to concentrate on setting the victim free, not playing with demons. They like to distract you by getting people to call your cell phone for example, so switch off all phones. They may try to fool you, but be wise and ignore their nonsense.
Cancer is a big demon and is linked to astrology, The Crab. The demon behaves like a crab devouring its victim internally. It has two strongholds. The Occult and Bitterness. There needs to be forgiveness of anyone that has hurt the sufferer and every link to the occult and astrology destroyed.
Prayer is the power that sets people free. Believers have authority over demons and must use it to the glory of the Lord. Don't be shy, timid or fearful, for our God reigns and expects us to join the battle to clear Satan off this planet. We have the power of the Holy Spirit within us so let us set the captives free.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are able to raise up warriors to fight the good fight and win souls through deliverance prayers or spiritual warfare. We praise and thank You for the gifts, weapons and authority to do so. Guide us in this endeavour. In Jesus' name. Amen.
