Scripture: Psalms 139 v 13 - 17: "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!"
Jesus Christ our Creator, Saviour and Redeemed, How we love You, Lord of All. Your name is highly exalted above every other name! King David knew You so well and described for us how You made us fearfully and wonderfully.
You have written everything about us in Your book, how many hairs we have on our head, our individual fingerprints, even things we don't even know about ourselves. We are a one off, totally unique and a masterpiece of planning.
You gave us our senses, our brains, our emotional make up, our knowledge of right and wrong. You gave us the ability to learn and grow and discover all Your gifts to us in nature, the plants, animals, and beauty all around us.
We can love, sing, dance, and turn these abilities into pure worship of our mighty King, and our Father who is a Spirit, and must be worshipped in Spirit and in truth. He rejects anything false, contrived or manipulative. We are spirit beings who came from Him, and He wants us home again in Heaven. Perfectly pure as we were made to be.
We know what we must do to receive the free gift of salvation from sin. We know how to get closer to You Lord, how to be in a wonderful, personal relationship with You, Jesus. You said we must be born again or we could not perceive Heaven. It's so true Lord, having You in our hearts makes all the difference.
You hear us when we call on Your name, when we pray, when we are sad and You comfort us and give us Your amazing peace that goes beyond our minds right into our hearts. When we are in pain, or sick, Your hand touches us to bring healing and relief.
When we are oppressed by wicked demons You taught in Your Word that we overcome them by the power in the Blood You shed on Calvary plus our testimony of salvation, and what Your Blood does for us. If we are willing to die for our belief in You, Satan and his demons, and those humans who allow him to use them to abuse us, will have no power over us.
You have made many promises in the Bible to us, and every one of them is faithful and true. We have the gift of the Holy Spirit who brings to our mind and memory things we can depend on in a crisis. He stirs up supernatural spiritual gifts within us to enhance our natural abilities to help others in difficulties. He does so much more than we can ever imagine that we can only wonder at His awesome power.
We know You are coming to fetch Your Redeemed people soon and we need to bring in as many who want to be born again. No matter what religion they belong to, no matter what they have done, if they cry out to You they will be heard. Everyone who believes that You are the Son of God who was crucified to break the power of sin in each one of us will be saved.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, We thank You for everything with all our hearts. O God please keep us on the strait and narrow way that leads to eternal life. Help us to find ways to open the eyes of those who don't know Jesus, and give us the courage to be faithful witnesses to Him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
