Scripture: Exodus 3 v 18 - 21: "And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:"
After 400 years of captivity and slavery in Egypt, no matter how awful it was there was no way of escape. The Hebrews had come to Egypt to escape seven years of drought. Joseph, the cast off brother of the sons of Jacob, sold to an Egyptian, had risen to second in command in Egypt.
He had warned Pharoah through a dream that there were seven good years of rain for crops then seven years of severe drought. He advised Pharoah to build huge barns to store wheat and other produce during the fruitful years to avoid starvation in drought. He was able to help his family in the same way.
However the kind Pharoah died and his son cruelly enslaved the Hebrews and there was no easy solution to this problem until Moses was born. Satan knew that a Deliverer would be born to the Hebrews around this time and he whispered this into Pharoah's ears so that all the new born male children must be killed.
Moses' mother sent her new born son down the river in a basket which Pharoah's daughter found and raised Moses the future Deliverer under Pharoah's nose. Whenever the enemy wants to mess with God's plans, He will provide a solution, and keep that plan going against all odds.
Moses was 80 years old when he confronted Pharoah to demand him to release the Hebrews. It took the Lord ten severe plagues upon Egypt to achieve freedom for His people. He did many miracles like parting the Red Sea to escape into the wilderness. The sea closed over the Egyptian army and drowned them, after the Hebrews had gone through on dry ground. A mighty miracle of God through faith in His ability.
Moses had received direct instructions at the Burning Bush in Midian and he trusted God without a doubt. We are in need of spiritual solutions to problems and crises in our world because their ungodly efforts are not getting the job done at all.
There is severe drought in the wheat producing areas of the USA because climate change caused those areas of the Midwest to have very little winter snow in 2020/21. In areas where they needed snowblowers to get their cars out of the garage at home and the snow was moved into huge piles along the road, this winter never saw any of that. Usually when this snow melted it would swell the rivers and be a store of water for Spring planting. Now they are facing a shortage of staple foodstuff while the pandemic is still raging in Brazil, India and France.
The Covid-19 virus is still threatening a third wave of severe illness with new mutations causing concern that the vaccinations will not be effective against variants as yet unknown.
Isaiah 24 v 3 - 10: "The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.
8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in."
This prophecy from the Lord through Isaiah could be being fulfilled in our time, right now, verse 5 is the reason. The bars and clubs were closed, cities were in confusion, isolation was the norm. And its still raging in parts of the world with another wave gathering to plunge us into more restrictions on travel, meetings, family unity, jobs, the economy. Over 3 million deaths have brought fear and confusion to many.
The pomp and ceremony that would have graced the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, yesterday was absent. Only 30 mourners could attend, all masked, and it added to the message of doom and gloom that has affected the whole world.
The reason is that the inhabitants of the world have defiled the Earth, transgressed the laws, broken the everlasting Covenant and changed the ordinance or the authoritative order. Everything that God ordained for the world to be a safe and happy place has been twisted out of shape.
God could not prevent humans from reaping what they have sowed. They ignored His commandments and rebelled against His wisdom. They ignored His solutions and did their own thing. Now the planet is reeling. Anarchy, insurgents, militant ISIS invasions, plagues, superstorms, wars, drugs, hatred, sex slavery, human trafficking, famine, faltering economies, fear, etc is running at unprecedented levels.
Our only solution is to ask our Lord God to help us. We must repent for being compromised by bad laws, we must put this right, and apply the wisdom, teachings and faith of the Holy Bible to guide us out of destruction into following Jesus to the letter.
He is the answer to every problem. He knows the end results and the right way to implement proper change. Jesus knows that those who believe in Him are the only hope to contain the ravages of the coming Antichrist. This final manifestation of Satan on Earth, his domain thanks to Adam, will be seen soon.
The signs of the rising Antichrist spirit are very noticeable these days. He is flaunting himself, crowing with delight at how well things are going. He has unleashed the hounds of Hell to bring about all the changes we have let happen. Too few Christians are aware enough to even grasp how things are now out of man's control.
The oppressed world inhabitants are revolting against the lack of municipal services, no water, no electricity, broken down schools, clinics and hospitals, indifferent policing, lack of money for food or medicine. They are starting to rage against governments who are unable to solve any crisis through their corruption and failures to govern.
If we think this is just temporary and when the pandemic is under control things will be normalised, we need to think again. The pandemic of HIV.AIDS has been raging since the 80's and although it can be better controlled through medication like ARV's, no cure has been found, and millions of people are ill and dying. Jesus has an answer but the world is deaf to His Words, the Church is compromised by tradition, false doctrines and the law of the land, and has failed to use the true authority He gave us.
Are we just going to sit back and let things run their course? Or are we going to stand up and be counted as faithful servants of the Most High God? It's our choice to make. It may cost our lives here if we fight with spiritual weapons against the flesh of the world. Many martyrs of the faith would understand why. But through our prayers, actions, Faith and no compromise with evil, we will prevail.
2 Corinthians 10 v 3 - 6: " For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."
If we take hold of the above words and apply them in prayer, intercession and spiritual warfare, we will be in true obedience to God and be able to withstand the enemy. This is not a future plan, this is already a desperate need. I have noticed over the past year or so, many more people reading this blog, with particular interest in overcoming Satan. Eyes have been opened to the truth of the onslaught against us, the persecution, the absence of truth in those appointed to govern.
So let us pay more attention to the solutions God provided in His Word, and through Jesus and His examples of healing and deliverance for us in the gospels. Apply these today to the situations present in our communities. If there are uprisings and protests with burning , looting and mayhem, read Mark 5 and know that the demon called Legion is aka Mob. Jesus gave us power over these spirits, He said we will do even more than He has done. He said nothing shall by any means hurt us.
I have been in spiritual warfare and deliverance for over forty years, and demons have threatened me many times but they have not been able to hurt me. It takes time, effort and dedication to set the captives free but it is a glorious victory when we get it right.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we need to apply Your solutions to overcome Satan in the church before we can tackle the world's problems. May the eyes of the saints be opened, and their minds able to receive Your plans, and their will submitted to Yours, to make a difference to the outcome of the onslaught. Jesus came to show us how its done, let's us follow in His footsteps. In Jesus' name. Amen.
