Scripture: 1 John 5 v 18 - 21: "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."
When we are born again we must keep ourselves pure so that Satan and his demons cannot touch us. We are forgiven all our sins but until we dig deeper into some areas of our lives we will suffer the consequences of foolish behaviour.
For instance, a thief may get born again and repent of his sin, but has to face arrest, trial and sentence. The act of theft does not disappear because he is saved. The consequences of sin must be dealt with scripturally. If your salvation is genuine you will show remorse for your thefts and make restitution, or pay back the money. Judges base their decisions on whether there is remorse or not.
We do many foolish, peculiar things that have unforeseen consequences for which we must seek the Lord to correct. One lady I had never seen before came into my office selling make-up one day. She suddenly started talking about her 16 year old daughter who was in the car outside. She told me that from the day of her birth this child had resisted her and actively hated her for no reason.
She told me she was a Christian and could not understand why there was no love or affection for her in her daughter's heart. The Lord gave me a "word of knowledge" which is a gift of the Holy Spirit. The word was "pendulum". I asked this sad mother if she had used a pendulum to determine the sex of her child?
They had no scanners back in those days so you hung your wedding ring on some cotton thread and someone held it over your womb. If it rotated in a circle it was a boy, if it went sideways it was a girl. Sadly, this is a demonic occult practice and it has consequences for the unborn baby. In her case it was total rejection from baby to mother. We have seen other problems from this pendulum practice like bedwetting, dyslexia, homosexuality, impairment of sight, hearing or speech. Dire consequences that come from such a simple and common fad.
That lady had me pray for her and confessed and repented of doing that very thing. She cried. She left my office but returned ten minutes later with her daughter. When she reached her car her daughter had hugged her and told her she loved her for the very first time in 16 years! Jesus had set this family free.
Another testimony that may help understand the consequences of sin is of a lady in a nearby town who had invited me to teach her friends to pray. When I had finished I developed a severe headache. I asked if anyone present had a bad headache as this is how the Holy Spirit indicates problems.
My hostess said she had a headache and we prayed together. She was overjoyed, shouting I am healed over and over. I asked her about this pain and she told us that 25 years previously she had visited a fortune-teller and as she left her she had this severe headache. It had remained for 25 years and she had just felt it leave. It never returned! All praise and glory to Jesus.
Whenever we do something on the dark side we open an unseen door that can bring serious challenges to our lives. Whenever we disobey God's Word we put ourselves in harm's way.
Zechariah 5 v 3 - 4: "Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."
To those who despair over the looting and state capture being carried out in South Africa, this is the consequence of their actions. Not a demonic reaction but a judgment from God Himself. That house that falls can be a government or a political party or a luxurious home.
Our God is busy judging the nations and the people to separate the sheep from the goats. He is angry at sin every day. His Word is true and faithful. Not just the good verses underlined in many Bibles, but all of His Word. Revelations contains many consequences: woes, tribulations, pandemics, burning, destruction and often a sadness from God that though He allowed these calamities He hoped the people would turn to Him but they did not.
Revelation 16 v 8 - 11: "And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."
What does our Father have to do to bring sinners to salvation? He sent His Son, Prophets, Apostles, Kings, Judges, the Holy Spirit. They were sent to show us the way to our Heavenly home. God has put signs in the Heavens, signs in the weather, signs in the rise of The Antichrist, in turmoil, in this pandemic, and dysfunctional governments. He is saying look to Jesus the Saviour and be free. He does not want to lose one soul.
Revelation 15 v 1 - 2: "And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God."
Verse 1 refers to the second half of the Great Tribulation, known as The Wrath of the Lamb. The seven last plagues, the one we have now is mild compared to these. Think Bubonic plague with variants and nothing stops it. And that's just one, followed by six more, all worse than the first.
Verse 2 refers to the Raptured Christians. They will escape the wrath because of their faith, obedience and victory over the Antichrist. This tells me that the Rapture will occur in the middle of the seven years. We must overcome the Antichrist who is first revealed in the beginning of the seven years.
This will cause the great revival, and bring millions of souls into the Kingdom of God. Those who reject this outpouring of the Holy Spirit will face the wrath of God and seven plagues. Two per year if you calculate it correctly. Severe consequences for rejecting God's love and mercy.
Our Father has an army of His people on Twitter and Facebook and other media. They post verses all the time. They post testimonies of miracles, healings, people coming back from death, of needs for prayer, of times of refreshing. Twitter has admitted that by far the largest group of tweeters are Christians. God is shouting out in every language on every continent, I Love You!
He does not want to lose us because of consequences of sin, and I am writing this because He wants it said. It's not pretty but its true. Not every pendulum produced a problem but many did. If you recognise a consequence that may have been due to pendulum, or glassy-glassy, or fortune-tellers, or theft, or sexual sin, or tribal worship of ancestors, I hope this Bible Study will help and that you will seek God in prayer so all can be set free.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me if I have opened a bad door through ignorance and paid a terrible price. I bind whatever evil spirit was let loose to cause harm to any, and consequence of theft, and false prophecy through fortune-tellers. In Jesus' name I cancel this power and set the captives free. I pray for healing and deliverance of all concerned. Thank You Father, in Jesus' name. Amen.
