Scripture: Exodus 20 v 3 - 5: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them, for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers unto the the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
Revelations 3 v 20 - 21: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."
This life is all about choices, which include doors you open through curiosity, defiance, disobedience or ignorance. As God says in Hosea 4 v 6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
In Revelation 3 v 21 above, Jesus says "even as I also overcame"! He had to overcome the powers and principalities in the wilderness after His baptism, and His baptism was important for this very reason. Baptism kills our human nature that loves to sin, and although Jesus never sinned, He gained power as a man to withstand Satan.
If He had succumbed to Satan in the wilderness then we could never be free. He had to show us how to close the dangerous doors we ignorantly open, which causes the release of a Pandora's Box of spiritual, physical, mental and emotional pain.
Our Father knows the dangers for us opening the wrong doors because Satan is always prowling to capture the curious seeker after that which is forbidden. The wily devil knows exactly how to entice us to step over the line, trembling with angst and excitement which he manipulates to achieve a conquest.
Teenage experiments in sex, drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes, marks out one of Satan's favourite hunting grounds. The notoriously rebellious teen years causes them to throw caution to the wind, and embark on vessels that could sail them into hallucinogenic heaven or sink in tragedy. Or both. Very dangerous doors that seem innocent fun to the ignorance of youth. Their mantra of "It won't happen to me!", has been proved a lie from Hell over and over again.
Another avenue they charge down is witchcraft and the occult often leading to full blown Satanism and its awful depravity. Take that first step into darkness and the acceleration down the slippery slope comes very soon afterwards. The unspeakable atrocities they commit to initiate vulnerable teens into Satanism are extremely life-threatening.
The music the youth have become enslaved to, especially those with Parental Advisory stickers, can open their minds and souls to Satannic influences. It can lead to stronger drugs, sexual perversion and deeper involvement in the occult.
We once spent an entire weekend fighting for the life of one youth entrapped in this very thing. His parents destroyed all his music, occult jewellery, posters, and his stash of drugs, while we prayed for his release from a catatonic state. We took him home and ministered to him for a month until he was normal again, able to walk and speak. To God be the glory great things He has done. This man is now hale and hearty running a company in Canada. He told us later that God had used us to save his life.
Jesus called Satan the Father of Lies for a reason. He is the ultimate conman and his biggest con is that he is a myth or a fable, a non-existent excuse for guilty people to blame. The Western world have little concept of how he operates and they cannot fight what they ignore or are blind to.
Jesus came to shine a light into that darkness to expose our enemy when so much of His Earthly ministry was deliverance from demons. He cast seven evil spirits out of Mary Magdalene and she became one of His most devout followers. She was the first person He revealed Himself to after His resurrection.
We may think that the world 2000 years ago was full of demons but it is now more modern and sophisticated, and those things are a cop out, not relevant or we say they are psychological in nature. Psychologists and psychiatrists are excellent at defining demonic behaviour and labelling it a phobia or abhorrent human acting out, or some syndrome for which tranquilizers or psychotic drugs are necessary. However they are almost complete failures at fixing the problems. They do not know how to deliver a soul out of demonic bondage.
An arsonist, for example, has a demon spirit that triggers him to light fires and watch them destroy buildings, homes and people. He will be in the crowd watching firemen risk their lives to rescue those who are in danger, and struggling to put out the flames. The demon will give him thrill after thrill so that his next fire will be lit sooner. No amount of psychology will stop him seeking his next thrill. When caught he gets all the blame as demons enjoy his downfall.
Demons have one objective and that is to destroy their human host. They may play them for years or they may act suddenly and take that young person's life the first time they abuse a prohibited substance. Their ultimate goal is death and Hell. Satan assigns the demons to torment, destroy - personality, reputation, lifestyle, finances, family - making many victims he can use to taunt our Heavenly Father. Many victims of demonic oppression want to be caught even killed because they have zero self-control over their actions. They do not know how to stop what they are doing.
We see them on TV or on the front page of newspapers being judged by the world for awful crimes. We avidly follow televised court cases like Oscar Pistorius, the blade runner, and make our own opinions all over social media. But we have no idea what doors he or Reeva Steenkamp opened to be in that horrendous situation. Matthew 7 v 1 - 2: "Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
One of the biggest triggers in dealing with bondage is knowing what triggers deviant behaviour. Everything that provides a thrill, orgasm, high, or religious ecstasy is a danger zone. Serial killers talk of a huge rush they get when they commit murder. It's like a drug high and they are hooked on it. There are sexual highs and rushes that can lead to death and many have died that way seeking a bigger rush. Addictions to sex, drugs, alcohol, and obsessions with occult paranormal activity are all manifestations of demonic bondage.
We are Satan's leverage to break our Father's heart. God sent His Son to tell us how to overcome Satan. Everything we need to know is written in the Bible that people don't read much anymore. In the world the abominations Satan has made are now made legal, and in some Western nations it is a crime to use scripture to expose sin and make sinners feel convicted. Those legislators will one day face the wrath of God and wish they had known better.
Revelations 12 v 10 -11: "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."
Innocent looking doors we push open that lead to our destruction are seeking advice from fortune tellers, astrologists, psychics, diviners, witches, warlocks, and soothsayers. These agents of Satan, who always seem to have a Bible as a stage prop, tell us what will befall us in the future concerning love, money, business, etc. What we don't know is that the demons that use them to tell us that someone in the family will die within 3 months, will actually go forth and cause that death to happen. Then the acclaim goes to those who foretell the future and many more visit them.
Spiritualist, mediums, psychics manifest familiar spirits - demons - who mimic our departed loved ones. They are familiar with nicknames, voices, where we met, things only we know, and they hook us with all these deceptions to have us hear that our family is in a good place, there is no one called God here, that's all a story, not true. Millions have fallen for it and been destroyed by it.
If anyone has opened these or any other doors that have led to compulsive behaviour you will need to repent, that means change your mind about it, stop justifying it and fall out of agreement with it. You will probably need some deliverance from the demons plaguing you or tormenting you.
Jesus came to set the captives free. He who is set free by Jesus is free indeed. Many illnesses, and allergies, are actually demonic manifestations and a demon cannot be healed, it must be cast out. Modern medicine has done miraculous things but when it has no further answers Jesus waits to help. He wants to help. He loves us.
He showed us how by His lifestyle, that if we follow in His footsteps he will enable us to do what He has done. He says nothing shall by any means hurt us. We have been doing deliverance since 1980 and will continue till Jesus comes. It's hard work being in this fight but the victories are worth every moment of it. These dangerous doors need to be closed and locked by everyone because its the only way to overcome the evil within them.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive our ignorance and defiance in opening forbidden doors and suffering hurt because of our disobedience. Cleanse our souls of all evil by the Blood of Jesus. We must fall out of agreement with any demon that has enslaved us and bind it in Jesus' name. Amen.
