Israel Responds to Rockets

Scripture:  Psalm 68 v 1 - 2: "To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

2  As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God."

Isaiah 54 v 17: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

"*Breaking news:* (12th May 2021)
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu just made the following speech in front of the Knesset:

To Ismail Haniya, and the leaders and operatives of Hamas:

We, the people of Israel, owe you a huge debt of gratitude. You have succeeded where we have failed. Because never before, in the history of the modern State of Israel, has the Jewish people been so united, like one person with one heart. Everyone in Israel, from Left to Right, secular and religious, in united in the knowledge that there is no accommodating an enemy that is sworn to the genocide of our people.

And now, as you continue to launch deadly missiles indiscriminately, intended to maim and murder as many civilians as possible, while you take cowardly refuge behind your own civilians - you continue to inspire us to hold strongly onto our unity. Whatever disputes we Jews may have with each other, we now know that we have one common goal: we will defeat you.

But we are offering you now one last chance. Within 24 hours, all rocket fire - and I mean all rocket fire - will cease. Completely. Forever.

I give you formal notice that our tanks are massed at the Gaza border, with artillery and air support at the ready.  We have already dropped leaflets over the northern parts of the Gaza strip, warning civilians of our impending arrival, and that they should evacuate southward, forthwith.  If you fail to meet our ultimatum, we are coming in, and, with God's help, this time we will not leave.  Every centimeter of land that we conquer will be annexed to Israel, so that there will *never* be another attack launched at our civilians from there.

Even so, we will continue to keep the door open to allow you to surrender gracefully. The moment you announce that you are laying down arms, we will halt our advance, and there we will draw our new borders. If you continue to attack our citizens, we will continue to roll southwards, driving you out of territory that you will never again contaminate with your evil presence.

It pains me deeply that your civilians will be made homeless. But we did not choose this war; you did. And if our choice is between allowing our citizens to be targeted mercilessly by your genocidal savagery, versus turning your civilians into refugees, I regret that we must choose the latter. If only you loved your people as much as you hate ours, this war would never have happened.

To the rest of the world: Israel has tired of your ceaseless chidings that we should "show restraint".  When you have your entire population under constant missile fire from an implacable enemy whose stated goal is the murder of every man, woman and child in your land, then you may come and talk to us about "restraint". Until then, we respectfully suggest that you keep your double standards to yourselves. This time, Hamas has gone too far, and we will do whatever we have to in order to protect our population.

Hamas, once again, I thank you for bringing our people together with such clarity of mind and unity of purpose. The people of Israel do not fear the long road ahead.  Am Yisrael Chai. (JBN)
@Syalerts"

Once again war is imminent, or already started this week in Israel.  By yesterday 1600 missiles or rockets had been fired from Gaza, even some from Lebanon in the north, into Israel.  People are terrified, a number have been killed, some died of heart attacks through fear.  Many are severely wounded and there is chaos everywhere.

The world led by the media is on the side of the poor, oppressed, victims of Israeli terror who inhabit Gaza.  Since 2007 terrorist group, Hamas, took over Gaza in a coup, and their agenda is simple.  Israel must cease to exist, every Jew must die.  Palestinians must get their land back.

This week in 1948 Israel was given their homeland back by the League of Nations, now known as the United Nations.  The horrors of the Holocaust, the loss of 6 million victims of gas chambers, made it imperative that the Jews returned to their own land.

It was just an unimproved desert but as Jeremiah prophesied "Eretz Israel Kibbutzanim" -  Israel will return to their own land and rebuild it through kibbutzes.  This they have done and made Israel prosperous, with one of the most powerful armies in the world.

There was never a tribe called Palestinians before supreme terrorist, Yasser Arafat, coined the phrase.  The name was originally Philistines who lived in Gaza thousands of years ago.  The Romans who occupied Israel called it Palestine.  Various Arab, Turkish, Roman occupiers fought over it through the centuries.

But this is the land given to Israel by God, the Land of Canaan, the Holy Land, the land of milk and honey, given to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac.  Not through Ishmael.  After being taken captive God always brought them back to this land.  Even after 400 years as slaves in Egypt they returned to the land across the Jordan.  1900 years after the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple by Roman General Titus in AD 70, and immediately after the Holocaust in WW2, Israel are home again.

The tiny sliver called Israel today is just a part of the land they actually were given.  It  includes all the land from the Mediterranean Sea to the Ganges River.  That's a very big area that others have taken as their own.  The tribes living there don't believe in our God and His promises.

Late last night a leader of Hamas communicated through Russia that they wanted a cease fire with Israel under certain conditions. The response seems to be too little too late and that Israel is now responding with tanks, air force and rockets of their own.  A high rise building that was a Hamas command centre has been destroyed including some of their commanders.

No doubt the biased media will pounce on Israel for their high handed response to the terror being rained upon its citizens.  What other nation would sit idly by while it was being bombed out of existence?

God has said, I will bless those who bless you, Israel, Apple of My Eye, and those who curse you, will be cursed.  The enemies of Israel will be cursed.  Not long ago the government of South Africa closed its Embassy in Israel, in favour of the Palestinians.  This same ruling party is now in severe jeopardy, crumbling internally, very serious corruption displayed everywhere, facing elections later this year.  Trembling.   Has God's curse on this government finally been implemented?

Let's look at the lands that have cursed Israel and see how they look today.  Syria, wrecked.  Lebanon, wrecked.  Gaza, wrecked. Iran, nuclear plant crashed recently, with the intention of making nuclear weapons to destroy Israel.  USA under Biden, not a happy place.  God stands by His Word and He will always protect His people.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, we pray for Israel, Your people, to be safe from harm in this terrible onslaught.  We thank You for watching over her and giving wisdom to her leaders.  We pray for victory and for those bereaved to be comforted, and the wounded to be healed and restored to their families.  We pray for the enemies of Israel to be defeated and to submit to their ultimatum.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
