Creation v Evolution

Scripture:  Genesis 1 v 1 - 4: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."

We either believe that God's Word is true and perfect, or we disagree and have our own or others theories as proof that we are right.  None is more heavily debated than the Creation by God 6000 years ago versus the evolution of mankind from a swampy soup mix via apes to the finished product we see today.

Last night I read with interest an article called "The 6000th Year"  (link below) in which scientists confirmed that the whole human race, through DNA testing, originated from the same parents.  These are known as Adam and Eve in the Bible.

Not only that but that the origin of DNA started in all life forms around 6000 years ago.  All animals, trees, birds, fish and this Earth are from the same time period.  All the information about the age of the Universe in multiple billions of years is in question.

We cannot fathom the timelessness of God, the eternal now of eternity, how awesomely huge His Being must be, or even the size of the Universe.

Revelation 10 v 5 - 6: "And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6  And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:"

By this portion of scripture we learn that the Creator, Jesus Christ, controls time and that half way through the events in the book of Revelation time ends.  So what is time?

By it we measure our minutes, days, weeks, months and years.  We can measure the tiniest fractions of a second and ponder Einstein's Theory of Relativity.  Basically, the further away we are from this planet time shrinks accordingly.  Applying this concept to God to attempt to comprehend His might and majesty is somewhat beyond our ability.

However, He set time in motion from the moment He created the Earth in six days and said on the seventh day God rested.  That immediately gives us days and weeks.  Through early experience seasons were set in place for tilling the ground, seed planting, and reaping.  Everything originated with the Lord.  Light and dark, day and night.  Hot and cold, Summer and Winter.

When time stops everything shifts out of line.  Time is a boundary.  Our human creation was in a timeframe that we would originally live for one thousand years.  One who nearly reached it was Methuselah who  lived 969 years.  Noah was 600 years old when he built the Ark.  A pair of every living thing was on that Ark.  Male and female to keep the species going after the Flood.

No doubt it was pairs of baby animals on that vessel, as they are much less wild and vicious than adult animals.  The timing of the Flood must have been when many animals hibernation so they could sleep through the months on board this floating zoo.

God's control of time extended to the lifespan of man after the Flood.  It was reduced to 70 years approximately from the previous 1000 years.  The Lord realised the time was going too slowly to accomplish all that had to be done to save us.  Does this not shoot down the theory of evolution?  Why  and how did man's lifespan reduce so drastically after the Flood?  Through Evolution?

God says through King David in Psalms, We are fearfully and wonderfully made!  Every organ has multiple functions, and in a healthy body each part is miraculous.  Our eyes have sight, many blind people have sight restored through surgery or prayer.  How could it develop from a sightless amoeba emerging from a swamp?

In the story of man's sight, the eyes lose their sharpness as people age.  We need spectacles to read or see into the distance.  All eyes behave differently.  There is no one size fits all.  Eyes are different colours, and are beautiful to behold.  They are the windows to the soul.

It is much easier to accept the  Bible's record of Creation, especially now that scientists and chemists, astrophysicists and other academics are proving in their laboratories that evolution does not fit the facts.

I am including here a link to a blog I posted in 2014 which tells the same story.

We need to know our Father and Jesus, our Creator and these articles help us to think differently.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your love for us is overwhelming at times because we cannot imagine anyone could love us like this.  But You spoke and Jesus created this Earth, unique and beautiful, as a habitat for us plus providing every sustenance to help us survive.  You also judged fairly and destroyed many who were too damaged to fix.  Thank You for everything You are worthy of worship and praise. In Jesus' name.  Amen.
