Truth or Error

Scripture:  John 14 v 23-24: "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth Me not, keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent Me."

1 John 4 v 6: "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us: he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error."

This Earth has always seemed to me to be a polling booth for all mankind. We have to make decisions on every aspect of our lives on a daily basis. The ultimate choice we make for ourselves is not where we live or whom we marry, but whether we choose truth over error.

This specifically refers to our spirit, soul and body. The final, eternal destination of our soul. We must make no error about Heaven or Hell. They are real and our entire presence on this planet is to find favour with our Father and Jesus Christ to spend eternity with them in Heaven.

When God called me to be an Intercessor I was afraid because how could I discern truth from error.  I had been an Anglican educated in  a Catholic school, and from a religious point of view these were my truth.  Then I found the Holy Spirit after an encounter with Jesus in which I was born again without knowing it.

The Holy Spirit of Truth led my enquiring mind to Biblical truth on issues I had never really thought about.  I had always believed in Jesus but it was head knowledge, now He was in my heart and it was a huge difference.  He said in John 3 v 3: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Suddenly I was seeing the Kingdom of God and its reality and power.  Jesus was and is so real, so present in my life.  Even last night I had a series of dreams on being taught some new things, none of which I remember by the way!  However, every time I woke up I could strongly smell the Rose of Sharon, the evidence that Jesus is present.  It meant I was sitting at His feet receiving instruction all night long.  No doubt it will be revealed in some beautiful way.

I have spent nearly fifty years learning truth from error.  If I pick up a book in a Christian bookstore I smell the Rose or a rotten smell.  Jesus is the truth, if the book is going to bless me with more truth I am able to discern it by smell.
In Hebrews 5 v 14: "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."  My sense of smell is on point with Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is the One who conveys truth over error and it is truly amazing how accurate it is, not just in the content of the books that smell bad, but the authors of those books have been found time and again to preach error.  Not by me but by many Godly people have revealed these wolves in sheep's clothing sent in to deceive people with carefully disguised false doctrines.

Being right involves acknowledging the Holy Bible as true and accurate. It is really the Manufacturer's Handbook. Follow the directions correctly and faithfully and all works out perfectly. Ignore the Handbook and apply your own rules to life and before long disaster will strike.  If our motor vehicle or expensive machinery breaks down its foolish to attempt to repair it without consulting the manufacturer's handbook.  We are far more valuable than cars or machines.

We must decide whether to follow Jesus and walk in His footsteps or walk our own path through Minefield Earth. If we are not placing our feet in His footprints we will eventually step on a mine that will cause a blow up in our life or circumstances.  We learn through trial and error to get back to the Word of God and learn from it.

Every time we get complacent about salvation we become careless. People who are being persecuted and killed for being Christians are the least careless of all. Persecution welds people into a tight formation filled with much prayer and obedience to God.  Does our Lord have to allow us to face persecution to bring us back to the reality of the world.  It is evil, controlled by Satan, full of sin and depravity.  We are born again into the Kingdom of God, and although still in the world we are not of it.

South African Christians are very complacent as they have freedom of religion now but should be wary because the chief allies of our communist socialist government are China, Russia and India - all three known for their severe and ongoing persecution of Christians. South Africa also has strong ties with Arab lands who kill Christians and Jews. The days are coming when our complacency will suddenly change to a much deeper awareness of where our loyalties lie.

All Western countries have been strongly infiltrated by some or other of the militant communist, NeoNazism,  or Muslim fraternity. They are an army in waiting ready to rise up and destroy the flock of those who belong to the Lamb of God.

Jesus says we must not fear. If we die in the truth we are on a short cut to Heaven. If we live the truth we bring many sons to glory. Those are our only real options. Suddenly there is no safe haven only a safe Heaven.  The true Ark of the Covenant is Jesus Himself.  Those seeking the lost Ark should seek Him and be filled with Him.

Following error is when we think we are safe while running through the minefield without a map. It comes on those who are sitting in churches that do not preach the full gospel of Jesus Christ; or follow the InterFaith route; or follow teachings or doctrines not supported by the Holy Bible.

Error is when we follow other gods to nirvana or think we can be a suicide bomber to get our 72 virgins, or populate our own planet as Mormons teach. Jesus said it clearly about Himself - I am the Light, the Truth and the Way; no man comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is the door to Heaven. No other door, no other way will get you there. Orthodox religions that elevate Mary and dead saints over the Trinity of God, are on the path of error no matter how rich they are. Churches that do not preach the words of Jesus are preaching error that the christening of babies saves that person's soul for all time. It doesn't. All that baby gets is a wet head.

I feel bold to say these things because the days are getting darker and it may be the only opportunity for someone to see the error they have lived in and change their destiny. My cry to God is always that no-one I meet or share with will ever be in doubt about their standing with God. That they will know truth from error. What they do with that knowledge is in their own hands as they must make their own decision.

Prayer: Heavenly Father All around us are the signs of the end times. At any moment the final trumpet will sound and the time for choices will be gone. Please touch every person who reads this message to take it seriously and make sure they are happy with their decision concerning truth and error. In Jesus' name. Amen.
