Scripture: Job 1 v 4 - 7: "And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."
From the time of the fall in Eden when Adam handed the reigns of control to Satan, the Serpent, the Earth belonged to him and it was his domain. When the Lord in v 7 asked Satan where he had been he said from patrolling Earth, and the Lord did not disagree.
It was God who made the Heaven and Earth, but Satan who manipulated Adam to give him power over it, and all who dwell on Earth. Except here and there, certain people like Job, Abraham, Noah, Enoch, Moses etc. who chose to follow God's ways and shun evil.
Yesterday I watched a documentary called "Worlds Wildest Weather" about hurricanes like Katrina and Hannah, superstorms like Sandy, tornados, wildfires, floods and avalanches. My personal gripe was that they were all attributed to "Mother Nature".
I know that's an acceptable name for all sorts of phenomenal weather events, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, earthquakes and so on, but its the perfect disguise for the one that prefers to be a myth and portray himself as anything but the devil he is.
The issue of climate change is huge and attributed to the follies of man, big industry pollution, and too many aerosol sprays causing a hole in the ozone layer. Our Creator put that protective layer there to shield His beloved humans from the harsh rays of the Sun.
Satan is utterly destructive and his targets are everything created by God. Whatever he can tamper with until its broken, damaged beyond repair, he unleashes his demons to create havoc. However, our God is totally aware of his corrupt nature, which can build nothing worthy, and He put boundaries in place for our added protection.
Job 26 v 6 - 10: "Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end."
It is said that the oldest manuscript in the Bible is the Book of Job. Moses wrote the first five books called the Torah, the Law, to the Jews. There is no mention of the Law in Job. In verse 10 above, Job, a most God-fearing man, knows that God has set boundaries to keep the seas in their place. After the Flood of Noah, He promised with a covenant of a rainbow, never to do that again.
Jesus in Matthew 24, echoed in all the gospels, answered his disciples question of when does this all end? Jesus said there will be wild weather, heart failure, earthquakes, plagues, famine, fear, a lack of love, persecution of the righteous people, and this gospel will be preached in all the world.
I don't know about you, but all those boxes have been thoroughly ticked. There is nothing left to do but live as close to Jesus as possible until He returns. Our only obligation is to warn people who don't know Him of the dangers they face. Hell is real, even Job knew about it. Jesus spoke of it many times. It was why He died to save mankind, to spare us eternal agony.
So Satan, aka Mother Nature, is set on destruction of everything God loves, everything we love, by whatever foul means he can muster up. And he knows he has a short time before Jesus returns so he has increased the pace of evil to keep his leverage intact.
The first three years of the Tribulation is all Satan's doings. Wreck this Earth and all who are alive. Starve them, invade them with viruses, create fear and panic, rob them of homes, jobs, wealth, health, and hope. Let them turn against their Father and curse Him, just like Job's miserable comforters told him to do.
Rock this world with quakes, superstorms, eruptions, sandstorms, arctic weather, heat beyond the norm. Melt the icepacks, raise the ocean levels, flood the cities. Let the leaders of the world struggle with accountability for it all, while the devil roars with laughter. They actually do know they cannot solve the increasing problems on Earth but they have to look like they are trying.
The final three years of the Tribulation are called the Wrath of the Lamb, especially against Satan. Anyone still sticking to the Devil will suffer with Him for eternity. The billions of dollars being fruitlessly spent trying to plug the gigantic hole of a polluted Earth, could be better used to bring salvation to the world.
However, apathy, mediocre doctrines, compromise, misplaced faith, men's philosophy, and spiritual ignorance have combined to do the opposite. The apostasy, the falling away from the truth, is well advanced already. The strong arguments against faith in Almighty God, and in Jesus Christ, are very much entrenched in the minds of the godless.
So let us be aware of Mother Nature as just another con to hide behind for Satan to stay anonymous while he tries to destroy us. It's time to expose him for all to see and despise.
From the time of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, he has received his marching orders but he has used the law to remain an eternal squatter. He hides behind his workers, witches, wizards, occultists, shamans, religious fanatics, idolators, rebels, murderers, rapists, dictators, etc. He lets them take the blame and consequences. Like the coward and bully he is. He is the spreader of fake news, lies, and confusion. We must overcome it all.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we are excited that the end of tyranny is near, whether from Satan or his alter ego, Mother Nature, and we have had enough of his misery. Help us to accelerate the coming of Jesus by using these last days to redeem the time, i.e. make up for lost time. The harvest fields are ready to be reaped for Your Kingdom, so Lord make us ready to reap! In Jesus' name. Amen.
