Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2 v 10 - 16: "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."
Let us first highlight verse 14 above......the natural i.e. unsaved, man or person, cannot grasp that which the Holy Spirit reveals to a believer. The natural man, whether scientist, doctor, or genius, cannot comprehend that which is spiritually discerned, it is complete foolishness to him.
Bearing this in mind, let us explore the Covid phenomenon through that which the mind of Jesus Christ has made known. The learned people may, or will, pooh pooh that which people with no university degrees have to say, but I am trusting the Holy Spirit to witness to truth and bring understanding.
Firstly, we are in the closing years of this age of Grace. Grace started when Jesus died on the Cross. His cry, It is finished, meant the age of the Law, which started with Moses, was over. The Law shows us we are wrongdoers, sinners, Grace shows us we are forgiven and if we believe in Jesus, are saved from eternal punishment.
Believing in Jesus is not just mental assent, it means doing the work of a disciple, conforming to truth and being an example to others. From this group Jesus needs to sort out the sheep from the goats. The sheep have followed Him all the way, may still have minor defects but they are beloved of Him.
The goats are stubborn, wilful, argumentative, opinionated and proud. They are not watchful nor careful, they are following a hotchpotch of doctrinal truth and are out of touch with the true will of God. They have not sought deliverance from demonic oppression, have not been baptised in water, or the Holy Ghost. When the Lord said judgment will begin in My House, this category called goats would be the first up.
As an Intercessor for forty years, not self-appointed, but called by God, I have seen many interesting spiritual things, all of which the boffins would shake their heads at. My favourite is what I call "Out flew enza" this is the opposite of Influenza, a Spanish word meaning an influence. Very few people on this planet have never had influenza, which mutates year after year ad causes mild to serious suffering and many deaths.
Since Jesus said the unchangeable words to the paralyzed man, Is it easier to say "Take up your bed and walk, than your sins are forgiven", the knowledge that most diseases or infirmities are as a result of our sin, or our ancestors, has become a reality. The power of Jesus was to make those sins and consequences go away. Forgive and heal.
We are born in sin, conceived in sin, therefore there is no innocent baby no matter how sweet or precious. That baby has to be disciplined to be good. Taught how to behave. Eventually it will do something sinful, but its spirit was dead in sin before it was born. It's an unstoppable human condition until we apply the Blood of Jesus to our lives and are washed clean.
But what is inside us must come out. Prayer and ministry are needed so that the sinner can repent and change his or her mind about sin. They can forgive the hurts, offload the baggage and start over. We noticed that many times people we prayed for got a kind of flu, influenza, but afterwards there was a great change in them. It started in me first! We grasped that it was whatever had been conquered now leaving the building. The symptoms were the same, the results were great.
When Jesus was healing or delivering people sometimes he spat. We have had this happen to us very often. This spit is the nest that an evil spirit occupies in our soul. When it comes out the demon is conquered. Jesus never had a demon but He was a Door through which they could leave without further torment to the person being delivered. So when He spat that was the demon leaving through Him, fast and final.
The spirit of Legion was sent into the pigs in Mark 5 by Jesus for this reason. The tormented Gadarene demoniac was instantly set free and in his right mind. Without the pigs suiciding over the cliff, he would have had a very long season of 'out flew enza' before those thousands of demons had finally gone.
Out flew enza produces all the achy body symptoms, high temperature, cough, and much phlegm being spat out. Sometimes it is diarrhoea, another way of eliminating nests! A lady I knew well, and was praying for release of curses from Freemasonry, that same hour "accidentally" fell into a large rose bush and had dozens of tiny bleeding wounds as those curses exploded out of her flesh. She was many miles away from me at the time. It is Jesus at work within to push all the consequences of sin out of our bodies.
Okay so that's the background to why I call Covid the Equalizer. Covid is nasty, its everywhere, its a pandemic. It is also judgment of God on nations before He sorts out the sheep and goats.
Matthew 25 v 32 - 34: "And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:"
That's the Equalizer. Covid has many variants. It comes in waves. It's origin has not been properly established. Jesus said in Matthew 24 In the last days there will be plagues. The number of deaths globally is not that high a percentage of the number of infections. Some get long Covid, some have almost zero symptoms. Some are in ICU, some die within a few days. So far over 110,000 variants have been detected and that was before Omicron.
The latest on Omicron is that it is very mild and affecting babies and the very young. Jesus is always gentle with children. The symptoms are fatigue for three days, a scratchy throat and slight headache. But the world's defences are in full swing.
To my understanding Jesus is cleaning up the world and giving them a chance to come clean as they say in the classics. Before He separates the sheep from the goats. Those who died were perhaps made ready for Heaven. Those who are in long Covid need to do some repenting or else. To me Covid is 'out flew enza' on steroids. I doubt if the scientists and doctors will agree but they don't know Jesus like I do. If they had spiritual insight instead of microscopes it would be clearer.
If governments could understand this then lockdown and isolation are actually overkill. It does not matter where you are when its your turn to be cleansed by Jesus not even a deserted island can prevent it. Covid is a sign that the end of this age is upon us. The Rapture is coming next, then the Antichrist. Jesus is being fair to the whole world, giving them a chance to level the playing field.
Maybe we should be praising God for Covid if we can see it for what it is. With understanding comes peace, hope and eternal life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, the world as we know it has been turned upside down by Covid. Precious Father help us to see Your compassionate hand bringing the most expedient way of preparing us for what You have longed to give us. You know how evil the Antichrist will be and You do not want us to suffer beyond our ability to cope. All eyes are on the pandemic and they fail to see what You are doing to help us.
O Lord our God when I in awesome wonder consider all the works Thy hands have made. You made the stars, the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
