Haggai 2 v 6 - 7: "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts."Isaiah 55 v 11: "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
We are in the grip of a spiritual storm in which the unseen war of the heavenlies is manifesting on this planet. It is shaking the nations day after day as the political, financial, climatic or health turbulence increases without finding practical solutions.
The aim of God is to draw people to the glory of His Kingdom. The contrast between where we came from originally, Heaven, and the battlefield on Earth, especially in the current war against Ukraine, gives fear in many hearts. And there are no other options.
The people of the world who do not know Almighty God and His Son Jesus, try to work out these battlegrounds with laws, barriers, weapons and strategies within the limitation of man's wisdom. They fail to understand the spiritual origin of the problem so the solution will elude them. Billions will be spent to safeguard lives but you cannot counteract a spiritual event with a man-made answer!
The Russian invasion against Ukraine is for the continued security of one person, President Vladimir Putin, described in the British press this morning as "mad as a box of frogs". Media outlets tell us that Russia is not a governed nation but rather a criminal state run by Putin surrounded by his oligarchs, who launder his immense looting through their companies. His position has been shaky for a while now and his only ploy was to invade Ukraine. To stay in power until he dies. At least 40 million Ukrainians are wishing that on him right now! His demise that is.
Through millions of prayers, desperate cries to our Father, the Lord is championing the underdog. There have been astonishing scenes of Russian soldiers surrendering to Ukraine troops because they were not told they were supposed to kill them! Just yesterday Ukrainian troops came across a Russian tank and its soldiers, stopped on the road. It had run out of petrol. The Ukrainians offered to tow it back to Russia, which resulted in laughter on both sides. More Russian POW's.
Madman Putin is now threatening to use nuclear weapons, and they are already on Ukraine territory. He is not a man who can endure loss of face. He is already a pariah to the whole world. Russia are now in an economical noose, especially Putin and his ultra rich cronies. They can now only fly to China and North Korea and possibly Cuba, but not over any allied airspace. The hand of the Lord is shaking this nation more than a nuclear bomb.
God is actually shaking the heavens. The domain of evil spirits and Satan's kingdom is in the air around us. The unseen controller of the affairs of this world. The bringer of death and destruction, perversion, terror, murder, hate and disease. We are too learned and sophisticated to believe this gobbledygook and would rather wander endlessly in the wilderness of blissful ignorance.
The Holy Bible clearly tells us that there is a war going on between good and evil. In the heavens. The defeated demons are sent to Hell, situated in the fiery core in the centre of Earth. They pass through our countries, cities, towns, homes, causing havoc as they fall. It's being going on since Sodom and Gomorrah and the Flood.
Daniel 10 v 11 - 13: "And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia."
This was the Pre-Incarnate Jesus, bringing knowledge to Daniel, who had been fasting for weeks. Jesus tried to get through the demonic forces, the ruling spirit over Persia (now Iran), in the air for 21 days. He called on Michael the Archangel, one of the chief princes, for assistance, which worked. If you compare this portion of scripture from verse 1 of Daniel 10, with Revelation 1 and John's description of the Resurrected Christ, you will be amazed at the similarities.
Jesus said, As it was in the days of Lot and Noah, so will it be at the time of the end. It was so bad that two cities had to be incinerated, and when that message did not have the desired corrective effect, the next was total wipe out of Earth except for eight worthy, righteous people!
God is not playing games now. The nations are shaking for sure. Mankind is on a very slippery slope. Our arrogance and denial of truth, our rejection of God's promises, are fuelling and emboldening the enemy to be very blatant. Very soon the Antichrist will appear on the stage the world has prepared for him.
There is only one hope for mankind, Jesus Christ. The devil and the demons hate Him because He has defeated them by destroying the power of sin by His death and the shedding of His Blood. When you believe in Him and yield to His Lordship, whether alive or dead, you are saved and free.
The world is ruled by Satan through the media, music, idols, religions, military, governments, humanitarians, money, lust, sexual sin, gambling, addictions, plagues, Hollywood, false doctrines abounding in churches, false prophets etc. Christians are passing through this world to eternal life in Heaven but they are not part of it. Or should not be, but many are carnal Christians these days, and at great risk of backsliding.
So the world hates us and persecutes us to their own peril. The world is subject to sin and is under the law, Christians are subject to the righteousness of Jesus under whom there is no law. When Christians fall into error they immediately fall back under the law, and there is a huge number of them trying to live with Mosaic Law, Sabbaths and commandments for this wrong reason. They will be shaken. Like dry leaves falling from trees and swirling into heaps on the ground.
Those nations that reject Jesus and are working to overthrow Christianity by glorifying those things that God calls abominable will be shaken in terrible ways. Because God does not change and what He has said is not subject to debate. His Word is not void, it will accomplish what He sent it to do. His Word manifested in the flesh in the form of Jesus. If we call Him a liar, Who is the truth, the way and the life, what hope is there for us?
God's yardstick of judgment is how nations treat Israel! Many Arab nations have come to this understanding and have made peace with Israel. There are some that persist in the agenda of utter destruction of Israel. Top of the list is Iran.
God has already turned His face away from a number of nations who are in continual war threat against Israel. Take Syria for example. Their barbaric butcher of a leader, Assad, has slaughtered his own Syrian people causing a flood of migrants to try find safety as far away as possible. From old testament times Syria has fought against Israel. Their nation is so shaken its in ruins.
Gaza is in ruins but terrorist Hamas group is keeping up the war against Israel. South Africa closed its embassy in Israel, and is a nation shaken by corruption throughout the ruling party. We are facing financial ruin as our ratings have been made junk level. Our national debt is now 75% of our GDP. Our power is fading as seen by the many electricity outages we suffer, affecting many businesses.
The abominations of this world are Satan's joke on mankind. It gives him leverage with God. He thinks if he has more humans on his side he wins. He and all those who follow him are deceived and destined for Hell. It is the work of Christians to love the sinner and hate the sin. So militant Christians are also on the wrong track. We need to walk the walk to show those in the world the love of Jesus, not to condemn them but to save them. The war in the heavens will end at the end of the world when the Day of Judgment dawns.
The war in the heavens started when Lucifer the archangel became filled with pride. Isaiah 14 v 12 - 14:
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."
Revelation 12 v 7 - 10: "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."
He is the ultimate megalomaniac, the sum total of every monster of our nightmares. Everyone who is not a born again believer, a living witness of Jesus Christ is subject to Satan, in ignorance or not. Jesus came to save every one of us from this horror. And the horrors to come. He laid down His own pure life for us to be saved from Hell. There is no plan B.
I pray that everyone who reads this message will have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life now, so that on the day of Judgment they will be the ones who spend eternity in Heaven.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your enemy started this war in the heavens trying to take over from You. You would have ended it sooner except for Your love for all mankind. You sent Your Son to save us. All who believe in Him will come into Your Kingdom. We pray for the protection of Ukraine from the Russian invasion. You are shaking the nations to bring them home. Thank You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
