Scripture: Luke 20 v 21 - 25: "And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
For at least the past twenty years, probably longer, there has been the teaching that we must push for Christians to be in high places in government as this will bring the Lord into everything. The belief is that Christian politicians will be incorruptible and do that which will bless the whole nation.
Jesus had no such command or expectations. He said the opposite when He said give to Caesar what is due in taxes, and give to God what is Gods. Jesus was blessed by drawing a fish towards Him in the Sea of Galilee, which had a coin in its mouth, and this paid taxes for Him and His Disciples.
Matthew 17 v 27: "Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee."
When we give our all to our Father in Heaven, He responds in like manner. It's a truly awesome way to live.
The scriptural expectations of having a completely Godly government also added that when all the governments of the world were Christian we could then invite Jesus to come back and rule as Lord of all. Sadly, there are many countries where we would be imprisoned or killed for just owning a Bible.
It is true that electing Christian officials does help get things done right, but it only happens in countries with a strong Protestant population. In Mel Tari's book Like A Mighty Wind, he tells how he was born again in a Protestant church when the power of the Holy Ghost fell upon them.
Afterwards he saw a U.S. Dollar with In God We Trust written upon it. He saved every penny to go to a country that had such powerful faith, but when he arrived in Los Angeles airport, it was full of Moonies with flowers offering invitations to their cult. It severely shocked him.
Every president of the United States has been a Freemason. From George Washington to Joe Biden. One of the tenets of Freemasonry is that it's decrees are stronger than family or nation. It comes first. At the 33rd Degree of Freemasonry, a Mason becomes a member of the Illuminati, a secret brotherhood that answers to Satan, and carries out his will in many governments no matter if you are Christian, Moslem, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist or atheist, it is what is unfolding in these last days.
The G7 and G20 are all controlled by the mandarins of the Illuminati. They are the unseen manipulators behind the scenes, who are refusing military help to Ukraine, beyond a certain point. Every war is managed by them, but they were taken aback, I am sure, by the Ukrainian response to Vladimir Putin. Much prayer-backing worldwide has turned the tables on the Russian forces.
When Satan says slaughter them all, his subjects blindly obey. When the power of God counteracts it, miracles happen, convoys are at a standstill, and cities cannot be taken. This is the time of the rise of the Antichrist take over of the whole world. This war is just a curtain raiser, a practice run, for the world domination that is coming.
South Africa under the ANC for past 27 years has sided with Russia in this war, to the shame of heartsore people living here. The communist government is corrupt to its core, looting every State Owned Enterprise into bankruptcy, for which taxpayers have to cough up. Only 12% of the population are paying taxes that keeps the rest of the nation living on small grants.
Since the July riots last year the wealthier taxpayers are packing and leaving in droves for any other place but here, and maybe Ukraine, North Korea and Russia. This beautiful country is falling apart, and unless a miracle happens here and the ANC fall in 2024, we will become a failed state. Our President was once a strong Christian, who was seen singing in church during early Covid days, "The Holy Spirit shall come down and Africa will be saved!" Our God will not stand for being mocked.
Let us keep our eyes upon Jesus who told us the truth about how the end times of this age would be. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will be with us in trouble. He never said we would not see problems, but He would help us solve them.
We must do our part, be vigilant, pray, read our Bibles, help those around us. We must obey the Lord hour by hour to get through unscathed. He will tell us where to put our feet in the spiritual minefield all around us. We must not try to make our own plans in the midst of the battle. We must adhere to His infallible plan. We must save as many as we can reach so they do not face the eternal flames.
Spiritually, we are on the ground in Ukraine, as an excellent example. In Zechariah 4 v 6 - 9: "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you."
It is not by the power or might of the world, nor of Satan himself that can finish this. It is by the Holy Spirit that we shall have our victory. Be filled with Him. Be baptized in the Holy Ghost, use the mighty gifts He gives as a blessing from our Father. Walk in love towards one another which Jesus expects of us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we must not expect our governments to do for us what only You can do. We place all our trust in You for every day we have left on this planet. We call on the name of Jesus to help us endure to the end. You have brought us into Your Kingdom as sinless and Bloodwashed, born again saints. We give You all the honour and the glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
