Hidden Riches in Secret Places

Scripture: Isaiah 45 v 3:  "And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel."

Ephesians 3 v 8 - 10:  "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God."

Our Father in Heaven knows us by name and calls us to come near to hear His secrets. Some are mysteries that we need to search the Bible to discover the truth He is disclosing. We will never know them all.  Not until we are Home in Heaven.

The knowledge and wisdom of God is so vast that it is written that His thoughts are higher than ours.  His ways, His gifts, His ability is far beyond anything I or we could even imagine.  He confirms it in 1 Corinthians 2 saying, Eye has not seen nor ear heard the things that God has prepared for them that love Him.

He has revelations about our lives and its problems which can help  resolve seemingly impossible difficulties. We would call them miracles because He does wonders bringing this knowledge to us.  It is through His gift of the Holy Spirit that we can enter into the heart of God and know the mind of Jesus Christ.

The way into God's heart to find these treasures is through sincere and heartfelt prayer.  We normally get to this level when we have an insurmountable barrier like sudden serious illness in the family; marriage problems; loss of a job or death of a loved one.  It is better not to wait until a crisis occurs to have a meaningful prayer relationship with our Father.

He has hidden riches in secret places to share. We will never know them until He reveals them as happened on the road to Emmaus after the crucifixion of Jesus.  Two of His disciples were discussing His death when a stranger joined them and asked who they were grieving for.

The stranger began unfolding scriptures from the Old Testament, probably prophecies of Jesus' birth, life, death and many other things.  The disciples invited the stranger into their home and as they broke bread together something was said or done by their visitor that made them aware that it was Jesus Himself that walked, talked and shared secret knowledge with them.  He vanished from their sight and they hurried back to Jerusalem to tell the others.

Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened. These are depths of prayer you can reach.  In each case we need to wait upon the Lord to answer us or confirm that its being attended to.  He does this through many means.

Very often it will be through Bible verses that seem to leap off the page and are such a blessing.  It happened to me years ago when my husband and I attended a Saturday night prayer meeting.  The Lord indicated that He wanted us there again at 4 am next morning.

My husband said no way but I felt a strong need to be there.  He was asleep when I asked the Lord what I should do.  I immediately got Acts 22 v 10: "And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do."

Stunned, I said to Him please wake me up, not just eyes open but standing on the floor, as I have no alarm clock.  The next thing I knew I was standing on the floor being shaken while my husband was slapping my head.  I was fully awake and my clock read 3.40am.

Apparently a very nasty poisonous beetle had awakened my husband by crawling up his arm.  He had brushed it off and it landed in my hair.  Hence he had pulled me out of bed and was trying to slap it out of my hair.  The Lord has strange ways of getting His own way.

When I got to the prayer meeting, alone, and shared the testimony above, the Pastor gave me -

Acts 22 v 14:  "And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
15  For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard."

It seems the whole meeting was to get me started on this incredible journey which has been shared with you all in Prophetic Fire blog over the past 9 years, containing over 2000 blog posts. All the glory is for Almighty God and Jesus Christ my Saviour and Lord.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are so faithful to answer prayer when we humble ourselves to ask. We face many stumbling blocks but overcoming them with Your secret treasure chest of knowledge increases our faith. Thank you for never leaving us to battle alone. Thank You for all the hidden riches in secret places that we are yet to discover.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
