Scripture: Philippians 1 v 2 - 6: "Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
V 25 - 27: "And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;"
Our Lord Jesus Christ is pouring out His love for us all. He has a heart-felt desire that we will have much reason to rejoice because of His presence with us.
He listens to our conversations and is pleased if we have unity of spirit, that we do not waver in our belief in Him. That we are in one mind striving together, working for the furtherance of the Gospel.
He also loves the ones still unsaved. He does not want us to neglect them in our joy of salvation. We can rejoice in His presence but search for the lost sheep with confidence that they are crying to be found.
They may disguise it with egotistical remarks, sarcasm and mockery, but underneath all that is fear and curiosity. Fear that they are on the wrong path but have no clue to how to change their track. Curiosity about our confidence, love, joy and ability to share Jesus with them.
We need to make Jesus real to them while that curiosity is peaked. It is usually quite fleeting before the demons around them can shut it down with fleshly distractions. Like smoking or drinking or lustful thoughts. Tweaking addictions is their tactics.
The name of Jesus is very powerful. Don't be shy to use it early as at the sound of that name, demons start to tremble and lose confidence. Something startling out of our mouths like, Do you know that when we talk about Jesus He is right here with us. He says when two or three are gathered together in My name, I am in the midst of you.
Jesus will always back up His Word. Isaiah prophesied ....My Word will not return to Me void, it will accomplish what I sent it to do. It may not be fulfilled that day or the next but He who has begun a good work will keep at it till it is fulfilled.
Jesus wants to encourage us to keep praying. He said, Make your needs known to My Father, He will make them happen. It's not necessary to tell Him what needs doing, just have faith that He is able. He may have to take His time sorting out a mess here and there but when its sorted its done and dusted.
Jesus' thoughts are higher than ours, He has advanced knowledge of everything. He has solutions for anything that occurs on this planet. In our lives, homes, schools or workplace. He is aware of that volcano erupting for the first time in forty years in Hawaii right now.
Jesus knows us to the number of hairs on our heads. He knows our fears, tears, concerns about the future. Every place on Earth is having pressure and stress right now. Uprisings in China over Covid lockdown. Uprisings in Iran over treatment of women. Protests in South Africa over the parole finally being granted to Walusz who assassinated Chris Hani.
Some pressures are brought about by assisting Russia in the truly gruesome war against Ukraine. Like China and Iran. Our God is mindful of unjust activities and He is the Avenger. What we do to others will be done to us.
Disturb the peace of other nations and before long there is a disturbance where it reminds the offenders the most. China surely does not want another Tiananmen Square. Iran, which wants Israel wiped off the planet, should tread very carefully. Just saying.
He loves everybody but those who oppose His will need to know Who it is they are disrespecting. His Word holds this planet together. It prevents Satan utterly tearing it apart in his killing missions. Our God is merciful. Jesus came to heal the broken hearts, and those whose hearts have been emotionally bruised. Jesus will lift us up and make us whole.
Those who are born again are no longer citizens of the world but of the Kingdom of Heaven. We will one day close our eyes here and wake up there. Christ in us the hope of glory.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the Holy Spirit flowing so freely through me today to bring the thoughts and intentions of Jesus to those who enjoy this blog. Lord meet all needs today to allow Your peace to touch everyone we meet. Let Your peace stop the wars and unrest long enough for us to share the truth with them. In Jesus' name. Amen.
