Scripture: Galatians 5 v 18 - 21: "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
The law was given to set a standard by which sinners would be judged. God hates sin. He is completely sinless and sin causes Him to turn His face away from His people. He sent Jesus because He loved the sinners and wanted to be reconciled to them, but first they had to be born again and cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb.
The death of Jesus ended the period of the law and brought in Grace, God's forgiveness, mercy and abundant blessings upon those who convert to Christianity. They are sealed by the Holy Spirit and must walk in newness of life.
The works of the flesh are hated by God. Nothing done through the flesh pleases Him. He loves it when a saint, converted sinner, dies and comes home to Heaven. They are now safe and forever free of temptations.
While we are still carnal or a baby Christian we need love, cleanliness, attention and milk to grow and thrive. So if we neglect to read our Bibles, pray to the Father or have good fellowship with other Christians our lives will not change.
We intend to make God our Father happy with us so we can be blessed and even helpful to others. Therefore it may be wise to find out what He really hates. If we continue doing these things we will find ourselves cut off from Him completely. It's very hard to fix that problem.
In Galatians 5 Paul speaks of the lusts of the flesh and the works of the flesh. Have a good look because these are things God hates.
Verse 19 - Adultery; Fornication ie every type of sexual activity outside marriage; uncleanness - all forms of porn, bad language, fantasy sex, perversions like homosexuality. Ogling, prostitution, and lust; lasciviousness - inciting to lust, through gangs who prey on the vulnerable; books, movies, sexual jokes, even some music.
Idolatry - worship of idols whether carved or human ie celebs, sports stars, politicians, your children - worship means you hold them in higher esteem than Jesus Christ your Saviour;
Witchcraft - it has many forms but in essence it is the control of any human or situation by a spirit other than the Holy Spirit. EG. Blackmail, rape, casting spells, invoking curses, doing harmful rituals over music albums that would influence the hearers to sin.
Then there is hatred; arguments; wrath; strife; cults; Heresies ie false doctrines in the church of which there are many eg worship of Mary and other 'Catholic saints'; baby baptism (stems from Baal worship where babies were sacrificed after being named and water sprinkled on their heads);
God hates envy, jealousy, and covetousness; Murders including abortion; drunkenness; revelling. These are demonic controls over our minds and soul that alter our personalities and cause us to commit things that are evil.
God hates lies. Revelation 21 v 24 - 27: "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."
If we lie, defile - damage, make impure, desecrate, rape, sexually assault; commit abominations - sexual perversions, we will never enter Heaven. No matter watch the new norm or being woke teaches us. God's Word is His Word forever. He changes not.
Paul says he has warned of these things repeatedly that those Christians who continue in these practices will lose their salvation and their names will be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life.
Revelation 3 v 5-6 - the words of Jesus - "He that overcomes (these sinful practices) the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name (on the Day of Judgment) before my Father, and before His angels." The words in brackets were added by me.
So to please your Heavenly Father you need to distance yourself from old habits and sins. This is not a drill, soldier of the Cross, this is reality. The end of the world can happen in our lifetime. God sent Jesus to give us the opportunity to escape the sinful world, which is always marketed as filled with fun and excitement.
God our Father loves us and wants us to enter into true joy, peace and love in His presence. This is what worldly people crave but think they find it in pills, booze and much sex. Those three items have caused more heartache and misery in this world than anyone can imagine. When you have overcome these problem areas then you will start to grow towards God's will and purpose for your life.
So precious person reading this message, turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonderful face, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father I want to be a pleasing child and spend eternity in Your Kingdom. Forgive me for letting the enemy entice me back into his evil realm. I repent of my worldly ways and ask You to cleanse me with the Blood of Jesus. I will put my trust in You and let You lead me away from sinful practices into the glorious liberty of Your love, peace and joy. In Jesus' name. Amen.
