Scripture: Psalm 105 v 1 - 3: "O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD."
It is such a blessing to receive uplifting videos of the revival which started in Asbury in February and has not only spread across the USA, especially among students and young people, but all over the world.
A few minutes ago I watched Rick Curry at a gas station on his way to Louisiana from where he had had many people urging him to come to them to pray with them.
He said a year ago he published a book on a coming awakening and one of the chapters was that the revival would heal the broken-hearted. He has encountered many such suicidal, despairing, hopeless people who have been healed and restored by the power of God.
Luke 4 v 18 - 19: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
In the comments of the video were people agreeing that they had been touched by the Spirit of God and made whole. Their souls have been refreshed and the darkness has gone from them. Let us praise the Lord for His wonders.
This was a such a blessing because there is a young person who asked me to pray for her owing to a troubled mind a few years back. She was bombarded with suicidal thoughts especially the myriad different ways it could be done. Everything her eyes fell upon became a way of ending life abruptly.
The thing was that she herself was not suicidal, no intention of it. After much prayer we came to the understanding that she was interceding for people who were contemplating suicide and she needed to pray for them to be healed. Which she did most diligently.
While I listened to Rick Curry I put two and two together. He wrote about it a year ago and at least some if not all of my young friend's prayers are being answered in far away lands.
Our God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we know Your thoughts and ways are far above ours, however we thank You with grateful hearts to hear how You are using people to reach out and touch the broken-hearted. Lord please bless more and more people with this wisdom and knowledge. May this awakening continue till Jesus comes. In Jesus' name. Amen.
