Always Triumphant

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 2 v 14 - 17:  "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

15  For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16  To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
17  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."

Today is Father's Day so let us exalt our true Father in Heaven who loves us with an unfathomable love. Our Almighty God knows no defeat, and we who are His children will always triumph over all the power of the enemy.

His love sent His only begotten Son to die in our place because it was the only way to reconcile us.  What would we do for a reconciliation with family members that are feuding, lost, outcasts, sick?  Would we go to such extremes to show them love?

The savour of the knowledge of Jesus, His Son, goes forth from us when we allow His wisdom to override our common sense which is limited, and let His power go forth in purity without human hands and minds interfering. His wisdom is unlimited.  He loves the lonely, lost, confused and its His love in us that loves them too.

Blessed are the poor in heart for they shall see God.  They should see Him in us carrying out His will that all must be saved.  If He has forgiven them for some bad or wrong behaviour then we must too.

Through us the believers, this knowledge can reach everywhere our Father needs it to go. Every place there is a need, a lost soul, an illness, a bondage, a heartbreak, Jesus can by our faith set the captives free.

Let us honour the Father today and be a blessing to all around us.  Let us uplift any that are fallen and show them favour.  We are here for a purpose and it starts with love.  Jesus said love one another as I have loved you.  We should show mercy, compassion and patience.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father - You are LOVE!  Your love is in us.  We exalt You and worship You in Spirit and Truth.  Jesus is the express image of You.  He is a reflection of You in our hearts.  Lord help us to be like You.  To go the extra mile or turn the other cheek.  Let us be humble and not judgmental.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
