Scripture: Philippians 2 v 7 - 11: "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Our Father has exalted the name of Jesus in whom He said He was well pleased. Jesus carried out His mission to Earth and particularly to Israel to faultless perfection. He did it without making deals, with no compromise, blackmail, subterfuge or charm. He remained true to Himself and to His Father.
Names are very important to us. A good name shows a clean reputation, a bad name puts one in a bad light. We earn those privileges and a good name can take us far in life.
Jesus had earned a name that was above every other name. Every knee should bow at the mention of His name. His name is higher than any other.......names of people, places, countries, stars, animals, mountains, rivers or whatever has a name. No other name carries the power of the name of Jesus. Not the richest man on Earth or the King of Britain can begin to outshine Him.
Leon Musk wants to colonize Mars and other planets. Has he consulted the One who made every planet, moon, star, galaxy and asked permission? Jesus is the King of Kings, all must bow to Him. The present King Charles was once a born again Christian but now a carnal believer in New Age teachings.
And some humans use the glorious name of Jesus Christ as a curse word. Things under the Earth would be Hell, Satan, demons, fallen angels and dead sinners. Satan and his demons definitely want the name of Jesus to be cursed, diminished, especially ineffective because in this name their interaction with humans is halted and they are consigned back to Hell. Their curses on mankind are broken, their sorcery a joke when the righteous rise up and rebuke them.
In the name of Jesus there is salvation healing, deliverance, miracles, forgiveness, mercy, power over sin and the flesh. There is worship, praise, hymns, songs, poems, books exalting Jesus and thanking Him with grateful hearts.
About forty years ago the Lord gave me a revelation about our names in relation to all the above information. He told me that the ability of Satan to control every human being from behind the scenes was mainly through two things. Our names and birthdays. Every captured soldier in national armies knows he only has to reveal name and number.
In this unseen war our number is our birth date, e.g. 01:01:1991. Satan devised a clever system called Astrology to get everybody possible involved in star signs and their meanings related to our date of birth. It is used by millions of people to predict future events, or to give us a personal daily insight to affect our events of the day.
Every name of an astrological star sign is a ruling spirit with evil intentions. There is no preferable sign to be born under. I confuse people who ask me what my sign is. I answer.....The Cross. I wait while they think through all 12 star signs and frown saying... that's not one of them! If possible I tell them all about my sign! I don't often get asked nowadays, the enemy has wised up! ;)
The other string he pulls is that unless our names are given by Jesus, he manipulates them to flaunt the demons he has deployed to cause us stress, sickness, strife and misery. In the revelation about our names the Holy Spirit taught me how to discern those demons in people's names.
I was praying for a woman named Isabella who was emotionally crippled. Many had struggled to help her and failed. I carried on praying until the Lord said: "Drop a D in front of her name and say it aloud." DISABLE HER is what I said. Jesus said that is satan's curse over her life. I prayed to break that curse and for Jesus to restore her fully. From that day she recovered. Glory to Jesus!
Genesis 17 v 1, 5: "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee."
Abram and Sarai had to have God change their names to Abraham and Sarah before they could conceive Isaac. Something in their names was blocking her womb. She even gave her maidservant to Abraham, who bore him Ishmael, to help God's Word be realised. Big mistake.
Saul (Destroyer) or "Soul Destroyer" had to become Paul (Worker) to be an Apostle of Christ. Simon had to become Peter. A lady I shared this with spoke to a Rabbi about it and was astounded when he said this. When we have a child or person to counsel who just cannot be helped, we change the name and they get better!
I have seen the Lord do many miracles after breaking the bondage over our names.
Acts 13 v 8 - 10: "But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?" The name Elymas means sorcerer, who practices black magic and other dark arts, and those demons want to stop Paul from ministering to an interested official.
Every time we are busy with ministry we often have interruptions, distractions, phone calls, emergencies that stop the flow of the Holy Spirit. Mostly these are caused by our enemy to try to prevent another soul escaping from his evil clutches. Paul was having none of it and he cursed that evil man with blindness for a season so he could continue his work unhindered.
These are examples for us but with political correctness, human rights and activists of all kinds, trying that in public today would probably send us to prison. But we can pray and bind adverse activity that stops the spread of the gospel.
Satan has to flaunt, so everything that has a name is subject to bondage. The Lord showed me Budapest, Hungary. He said the people are hungry for My Word because Buddha is a Pest over them. The antichrist spirit of Buddha manifested in that place and they were starved of the knowledge of the Bible. Until Communism fell.
Another place was Cuba. I was shown A Cub. A Cub of the Bear, The USSR. A Cub that had taunted the USA with the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 60's. The Lord said I should pray to distract the mother bear which I did. Do bears love honey? This Mother bear had a huge honey pot to drool over. Within days the Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev, and his cabinet, just quit. It did not stop Cuba being communist but it did open doors for preachers to visit and people to be saved. It also changed Russia, removing the Iron Curtain and restrictions on Christianity.
Of course there is a new nuclear missile crisis coming from Russia today. A grown up bear has made war with its neighbour and planted a bunch of missiles facing Europe and Ukraine, to try bring fear and intimidation. Satan's tools to gain control never change much.
We all have names, not all can see these things but we can pray over our own names, names of family members and friends or even the contact list on our phones. We don't need to know what but we ask Jesus, the name above all names, to break the bondage hidden in every name.
We may stop terrorists, or crazy white supremacists, or whoever from shooting up Wal-Mart, cinemas, nightclubs, or schools. We may stop a hurricane or a bad storm. Take those names to Jesus and put those situation in His hands. Break the bondage over the towns, townships, villages, streets, cities, states, provinces, counties, islands, mountains, and whatever else has a name. Celebs, bands, drug cartels, and countries where drugs are cultivated. Pray over the names of government officials, big business monopolies and see what Jesus will do to to perform the will of the Father on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Christians, if we cannot go and preach the gospel, or afford to fund others, then we must pray like never before to stop the rampant enemy in his tracks. We can stop sickness, disorders, riots, chaos if we unite in a common purpose for Jesus. We must become activists against evil and our God will back us up. He never gatecrashes but waits to be invited.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You always have an answer to the deadly plans of satan. Your answer is Jesus! In the name of Jesus every knee must bow for He is Lord. Help us to pray without ceasing. Activate all the passive people into taking back the cities and streets that have been violated. Let us gridlock the power of Satan and destroy his strongholds. We thank You for the authority and power in Jesus' name. Amen.
