Scripture: Revelation 12 v 3 - 5: "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne."
By now we know that Satan is the great red Dragon which is symbolic of China and Chinese Communism. However, Communism started in Russia after the end of the First World War in 1918.
Satan is strongly manifested in both countries over the past 100 years through Communist rejection of God and the persecution of anyone who thinks otherwise.
There is a very strong Communist country in North Korea. This territory was a gift to Grandfather Kim, who started a dynasty. The gift was from Josef Stalin to the elder Kim for his services to Communism in Russia. It was passed from father to son to Kim Jong Ill, the present dear leader who is itching for a full scale war.
The great red dragon is part of the Beast system of the Antichrist which is all about control of the human race. We must be subject to the will of Satan as Eve was in Eden.
If Satan had known the full salvation plan of God, Jesus would not have been crucified. 1 Corinthians 2 v 6 - 8: "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
The princes of this world are ruling demon spirits that control governments, politicians, presidents, kings. They answer to the great red Dragon. The only people truly able to withstand these spirits are born again Christians baptized in the Holy Spirit and using all nine gifts under His control.
We must be watchful, and on our guard against subtle shifts in the political arena that affects us, and pray about it. Like the war against Ukraine. The Russian President Vladimir Putin, decided to use his power to resurrect the USSR starting with Ukraine.
Now Ukraine has not been good in many areas, very corrupt in some, but God told me to pray for them and not Russia. No matter who argued with me, I listened to Jesus. And Russia has had the worst time. The latest insult to Ukraine, blowing up the Kakhovak Dam, a terrible environmental crisis, has had two serious consequences for Russia.
The now dry land has allowed the Ukrainian Army to cross the Dnipr River to create a beachhead that will open the way to Crimea for them. Also, that Dam was the only drinkable water in this region. The unprepared Russian Army have been drinking foul water which has led to many going down with Cholera. A number of deaths and an army that is unfit. Their morale was not good to start with.
The Lord has plans, not problems. We must discern His will, not our emotion, and pray in line with it to see victorious answers to prayer. We are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against powerful spirits in high places.
Ephesians 6 v 11 12: "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
God gave us an armour and spiritual weapons because He intends for us to fight spiritual battles to overcome our enemy. Whatever Jesus did we can do also. He was crucified then went down into Satan's domain where He took him on and crushed him in front of his demons, including the Great Red Dragon.
Jesus said we can do this plus greater things than this.
These wicked spirits have done everything to make themselves invisible, and largely succeeded. It is our mission to spoil these principalities, and I don't mean pamper them. We have armour and weapons, they have bluff and lies. We have the power in the Blood of Jesus, they are terrified of it. That's their Kryptonite. They become weak and helpless when we stand against them in the power of Jesus.
Think of David and Goliath. A young teenager with a sling against a ten foot giant hardened in battle with a huge sword. No doubt all the bets were headed in one direction. The king of Israel and his army were cowering in their tents as David boldly declared that he was empowered by the the Lord God Almighty.
It only took one stone to defeat Goliath. The force of it hitting his forehead floored him then David calmly used the giant's sword to remove his head. The Philistines became slaves of Israel. No wonder King Saul hated David. He was already a slave to Satan and at his last he committed suicide.
We need to be Christians after God's own heart. We need to be directed into prayer battles that change the enemy from attacking to fleeing. God's judgments are ready to work with our prayers. He reacts to us, responds to our efforts, and applies His stern look upon those who oppose us in flesh or Spirit.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we need to know how powerful we can be when we walk in truth, in love and in the might of the Holy Spirit. Jesus made it possible when He took the Keys of Hell and Death from the defeated Dragon. Help us to take the fight to our enemy and turn the tables on him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
