Scripture: Deuteronomy 18 v 9 - 13: " When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God."
Leviticus 20 v 6 - 7: "And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God."
In South Africa, as in many other, if not all, nations there is the worship of dead ancestors. There are statues and memorials to kings, queens, generals, saints, Greek and Roman gods, famous adventurers, warriors, star of the screen etc. No matter that the Bible instructs us not to make images or statues we daily override that with photographs, selfies, TV and movies. It has become the norm for everyone.
Deuteronomy 7 v 25 - 26: "The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.
26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing."
It is believed by psychics or mediums that the spirits of the dead can be "channelled" through them so that grieving people can communicate with them. They have been seriously deceived by these practices. Apparently Prince Harry's wife, Meghan, is a psychic who channels his mother, the late Princess Diana for him to connect with. They have suddenly gone from one of the world's most influential couples to losing lucrative Spotify deals.
Spiritualism is a huge money-making hoax. Those who seek their departed family to convey their needs to God or the gods, accept anything the psychics tell them. Especially to return for the next wise message from beyond the grave.
A few years ago the African National Congress sacrificed a bull to initiate a day of dedication. It was for the whole of South Africa to unite in worship of the ancestors to dedicate this nation to them for spiritual guidance going forward. A day of prayer worship of the spirits of the dead was set aside to try to reverse the serious divisions in ruling party, threatening a collapse at the ballot box going forward.
From God's point of view, the fact that many of our leaders and members of the ANC belong to the Communist Party, and show little interest in Jesus Christ or His salvation, this type of ancestral worship is not going to help matters.
Isaiah 29 v 4 - 6: "And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire."
A few years later the ruling party is reading the writing on the wall. Even their own party members are burning the party t-shirts while they violently protest against lack of electricity, poor education, water shortages and untreated water causing cholera, dysfunctional health treatments at national hospitals and joblessness. Rocketing inflation, corruption, high crime rates and anarchy just make it so much worse.
Division comes from witchcraft. It is a product of the use of evil spirits to achieve dominance. They cause the very opposite of what the government is trying to achieve. Ignorance is not bliss. Cheaters never prosper. Where you see great political divisions in any country, dig into the spiritual depths to unearth witchcraft rituals, calling up the dead, curses, spells, prophecies etc which bring the house down. Witchcraft also brings confusion of mind and dementia (control by demons) is the result.
These practices need Intercessors to pray for God's will to be done to block the negativity that the demonic familiar spirits of the ancestors will surely add to our tribulations. They have no idea of the harm being done to the whole nation by the demonic forces they have unleashed everywhere.
1 Samuel 28 v 7 - 8: "Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee."
King Saul was in panic mode facing a war without the help of the prophet Samuel who had died. He had cleared the land of witchcraft but needed to find a witch somewhere to "talk to Samuel". He got more than he bargained for when the real spirit of Samuel manifested through the Witch of Endor. He spoke death over Saul and his sons for consulting a witch, who all perished in the war the very next day.
Familiar spirits are demons which are very familiar with you, knowing all about your relationships with departed family. They can mimic voices of your grandmother, call you by a nickname, know your favourite song or other very convincing traits. They can fool anyone but especially a person wanting to connect with a dead parent or child. Everything the familiar spirit guides you into is false and detrimental to your life. Attending seances with spiritualist mediums, psychics and dividers is very dangerous practice.
I have prayed for many people who had HIV.AIDS. When they renounced ancestor worship and repented of all divination and spiritualism, choosing to be born again, they were completely healed by Jesus. All thanks and glory to Him for these miracles of deliverance. They all felt the evil spirit go from them like a heavy cloak lifting off them.
The first person this happened to had a CD4 count of 150, i.e. full blown AIDS, bedridden and staring death in the face. Within 3 days her CD4 count had risen to 900! Normal is 800. Her father was a priest in a so-called Christian church where communication with spirits of ancestors was encouraged. That was in 2004 and she is still alive and flourishing.
Our God is awesome and gets all the glory for miracles and healing. With AIDS once your CD 4 count is below 200 it never goes back up. When the doctor phoned her to ask how she reversed this count, he was told it was through prayer and ministry. The doctor hung up the phone.
There is a link between this plague and psychic communication with the dead. The evil spirit of AIDS looks exactly like those sailors, zombies, in the movie, Curse of the Black Pearl. Demons cannot be healed, they must be bound and cast out. When people choose to talk to dead spirits they are inviting death upon themselves. There is no cure for AIDS. You cannot heal a demon it must be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus.
Therefore we must deal with our government's ability to unleash more evil spirits on our already sorry state in South Africa. National elections take place next year and the jungle drums are already beating.
Remember, we are all spirit beings, clothed with a soul, covered by flesh. We are only permitted to have communication with God through the Holy Spirit, of truth and love, in the name of Jesus. We need to pray for the end of familiar spirits of ancestors to be bound over this land. Perhaps then the terrible farm attacks will stop. AIDS will stop. The ANC will stop.
Some people will think I am a little touched to think evil spirits are causing all this upheaval. Just this week a man admitted murdering his grandmother, cutting up her body and taking her body parts as initiation into a witchcraft cult.
Truly I am scratching the surface. I had no idea either about demons until 1979 when I took in a woman and two daughters fleeing from a Satanist husband who wanted to rape them. Months and months of prayer by a team of spiritual warriors finally set her free. It launched me into deliverance plus the Holy Spirit gave me the gift of discerning of spirits. Now that's an eye-opener!
Jesus says Fear Not, nothing shall by any means hurt you. I believed Him and 44 years later I can testify to the truth of His words.
Shine Jesus shine fill this land with the Father's glory,
Blaze Spirit Blaze set our hearts on fire!
Let us sing this chorus as part of our prayer and intercession to cleanse this nation of evil oppression.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we bring the land of South Africa before You to cleanse it of Ancestor Worship. We take authority over all familiar spirits that have invaded our territory and bind them (paralyze them) in the name of Jesus. We spoil these plans to desecrate our nation with more evil. We render their ceremonies to use demons to win elections null and void and pray for Your protection O Lord through the power in the Blood of Jesus. Through the Blood Satan has no power over us and no place in us. We cast these bound spirits back to Hell. In Jesus' name. Amen.
