Scripture: 1 Samuel 8 v 6 - 7: " But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them."
We have a King who is Lord over the whole universe that He created. He is the Supreme Authority over all His creation. He controls every star, moon, planet, comet in the whole cosmos. He came down here and became human to save the world.
When we make Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour it is a total commitment forever. He takes ownership of our spirit soul and body knowing things about us that we are ignorant of. He knows exactly how many hairs are on our heads at any moment in time!
When He becomes our Lord He owns us lock stock and barrel. He owns our family, our jobs, our bank accounts, our home, car, furniture, groceries. He takes charge of it all. Unless we resist, as Israel did with Samuel.
They reasoned that Samuel was now old and his sons were not following in his godly footsteps so there would be no one like this great prophet to consult the Lord for them. So they wanted to elect a king like the surrounding nations had done.
Samuel told them that earthly kings would make them pay taxes, take their children to be his servants, make them soldiers in his army and generally make his citizens miserable. They insisted and chose Saul as king. He was very tall, robust and had clout. He was also given to psychopathic rages and total domination of those around him.
When we resist the Lordship of Jesus, the next in line is Satan who gatecrashes our lives with his version of what's fair. If we have not surrendered all to Jesus, whatever we still want to control is going to be subject to the plans of our enemy.
If we do not discipline our children correctly and teach them the ways of the God of the Bible, the enemy will lure them into drugs, sex, alcohol, and rebellion.
Right now those kind of children are destroying France, Belgium and its spread to Switzerland. The children of migrants under a false god are running amok. They are burning, looting, raping, killing anyone trying to stop them. It's called anarchy. Total disregard for lawful existence.
Zechariah 5 v 3 - 4: "Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."
This does not only apply to individuals but also nations, companies, governments, gangs, cartels, and any other that steals, loots, swears falsely in the name of Jesus, ponzi schemes, whatever offends God. Corruption breeds destruction.
Why can't Jesus stop this right now? He has no control over those who have rejected His Lordship. He gave control of the Earth to Adam in Eden who gave it to Satan. Forbidden Fruit. Wrong choice. It affected every human born on this planet, except One.
The Lord came down to save us from Adam's sin. He showed us what it would be like if we submitted to HIs ways. The promise of eternal life in Heaven. A life here that would be a blessing. Healing, deliverance, victory over sin, peace, joy, love, self control.
We see the Antichrist rising, an unstoppable force that could easily overwhelm South Africa. Certainly the powers that be are greatly concerned about the riots in various places in South Africa right now, spreading to other parts. This whole world is a powder keg and the fuse is already lit.
We can keep our head in the sand and pretend that all is well. However there is only one safety net, the Lordship of Jesus Christ. In Him, whether we live or die we are saved from Hell. But its all or nothing. We cannot have one foot in His Kingdom and the other clinging to the fun of the world.
We are in the time of the end. It is already here. We cannot turn the clock back to when things were more easy going. From now on its going downhill unless we are on holy ground. Oh there will be pockets of sanity, peace and relief. But serious fear abounds everywhere.
Climate is a big worry. Storms, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, interrupt the good times with no apology. Debt and financial upheaval, crush our hopes and dreams. Food shortages loom, job losses are escalating, energy is beyond a crisis. If you sell solar panels these days its a gold rush. But even with solar installed the Sun has to shine on it to create power. Wet and cloudy days are a big problem.
Thankfully some parts of sunny South Africa are still shining brightly. We do our best and are hopeful for the future. Our gracious King Jesus blesses us and gives comfort. He answers our prayers and brings joy. We rejoice in the ongoing revival which portrays His power and glory on believers. Many are being saved which is a great blessing.
This is the time to make permanent changes in our standing with the Lord. We must overcome sin and demons. He will not allow either of those in Heaven. We need to have a healthy fear of our great God.
He says in Revelation 3 v 5 - 6: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."
If we do not put away sin and deal with our demons He will blot our names out of the book of life. To be politically correct these days is spiritual suicide. We must conform to God's Word. Against all odds. It is shocking to see the destruction in Europe right now. It's a strong warning to everyone on Earth to choose the Kingdom of God before its too late.
For us in the Kingdom we need to put aside frivolous things and gather in as many lost souls all desperately afraid because they have no clue of what's coming. We are the only Bible they read so if we are not walking the walk or talking the talk we are disobeying the Great Commission to go into all the world and Tell Them.
Jesus never invited anyone to church. He went to them and demonstrated the love of God. He healed them and cast out their demons. He preached life to them. He said what He did we must do also. We are the church and we must bring in the sheaves.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, my heart is sore today to see the flames across France and other places. It has fired me up to rally the troops. We must pray like never before for opportunities to minister to the lost. Anoint us O God to become Your hands extended, to preach the gospel and show them Jesus Christ our Lord and King. In Jesus' name. Amen.
