Scripture: Daniel 5 v 3 - 5: "Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote."
It is a rather well-used expression "the writing is on the wall" and its taken to mean that something momentous, usually bad, is about to occur. In the original experience in Daniel's day, the king was about to lose his throne.
This Babylonian king had taken captive many Israelites, plus many treasures from the Temple in Jerusalem, which temple they destroyed. On this night the king decided to use the golden goblets taken from their Temple to fill with wine and offer praise to his own pagan gods. Baal, Astoreth and Diana most likely.
In the same hour he saw a hand write the fateful words "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin" on the wall near him, which neither he nor his sorcerers nor his astrologers could interpret. Eventually Daniel, the Jewish prophet, was brought before the king to help because in him was an excellent spirit and he could interpret dreams. He had no trouble discerning the whole event.
Daniel 5 v 24 - 28: "Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians."
The king praised Daniel and clothed him in sumptuous robes but it did not stop God from carrying out His Word. That same night the king died and his kingdom was taken over by the Medes and the Persians (now Iran). God had a plan because the Persian king, Cyrus, released the Jews back to their homeland from where they had been taken seventy years before.
What do we learn from this? Firstly, it is very unwise to mock our God by abusing His people, His Temple and its golden vessels. Whether Christians or Israeli's, the Lord God favours His people.
Our God will protect His own.
It is also very unwise to mock true born again Christians who are submitted to God's holy will and doing their best to save the rest of humanity i.e. those who will experience first hand their own writing on the wall if they do not wake up to the reality of this world situation.
It is equally unwise to persecute the Jews as it shows which people are aligned with the Antichrist. Our God does not need social media to know who they are. The Illuminati who run Satan's world system, are the agents bringing forth the agenda for full control of every human being alive n this planet.
The Beast is the name of a mega computer in Brussels, Belguim, that has captured every bit of relevant information about the inhabitants of Earth. They put forth the Barcode on every manufactured product and the 3 parallel lines with no number stand for 666, the number of the Beast. It started over forty years ago.
The people of the world need to heed the writing on the Wall concerning, New Age, Woke, Gender issues, Anti-Semitism, Interfaith, New World Order and so on. God condemns every one of these new ideas. Christians who are falling in line with them need to re-read their Bibles and walk away from that which completely contradicts the Word of God.
We are without doubt going through the birth pangs of the closing stages of the end of this world as we know it. The New Age plan of Satan is well established. Billions of people are accepting it as the norm and mocking those who disagree.
One day soon we will have a One World Government using One World Currency and under One Religion. What if the universal currency is already here and not like our dollar notes, gold coins but what we have been groomed with over the past 25 years, online banking with an online currency. Tokens issued by Central Banks will be called CBDC's, a digital currency controlled by banks.
Remember a few years back when the Greeks woke up one awful morning to find the balance in their bank accounts had been halved by their bankrupt government? By all accounts other currencies are being devalued. They are just printing more and more money until it becomes worthless. Remember Germany after the second world war, they filled their wheelbarrow with German Marks to buy one loaf of bread. Remember when Zimbabwe was printing Zim dollar notes of 1,000,000 and upwards? The writing is on the wall - do you need Daniel to explain it to you?
There is a whole lot of shaking going on, and not just Nebuchadnezzar's knees, but the stock markets are seeing writing on their screens that is a real nightmare. The banks are shaking too, governments are under pressure. People are rising in protest as their very hard earned salaries are being taxed without the people on the ground getting the services they desperately need.
We are staring lawlessness in the face not only in South Africa. These huge Anti-Semitic protests around the world condemning Israel for fighting back against Hamas, much loved by the Palestinians, who are used as human shields by the terrorists. They have always rejected the two state solution. They want Israel annihilated from the river to the sea. And the whole world agrees.
Now Iran is firing missiles, projectiles and drones at Israel trying to provoke a world war. Cheered on by Putin in Russia who is enjoying removing support for Ukraine so his military operation can continue with less opposition. Divide and conquer. Terrorists all. What does the writing on the wall say to you? To where can we run to be safe?
There is only one embassy that's recommended. The Kingdom of God as preached by Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. He is our only hope. He said in John 14 v 6: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Jesus is the Door through which we enter God's Kingdom, a living passport for all who believe in Him.
Just as the writing on the wall spelt the end of an era for the Babylonians so should we all heed that lesson today and bring our lives fully in line with our Saviour, Jesus Christ. His last words on the Cross were Father, forgive them, they know not what they do! Today we do know and must give Him the honour, praise and worship He deserves.
Prayer: Heavenly Father Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. You want everyone to be saved and home with You but not everyone is willing to walk in Jesus' footsteps and bear His Cross. Help us, O Lord, to bring Your truth to them before they have to see the writing on the wall and weep for eternity. You are abundantly merciful and full of love but Your Word is clear and we must believe it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
