Spiritual Demonstrations

Scripture:  Genesis 3 v 23 - 24: "Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

God was disappointed and angry with Adam and Eve for their disobedience and demonstrated it by expelling them from Eden.  They could never return to the microcosm of Heaven now protected by Cherubims with flaming swords.  Somewhere hidden on this planet is this Garden and its Tree of Life.

Human eyes cannot see it until the Day of the Lord arrives in all its splendour.  It will start the one thousand years of peace and restoration.  The believers in Jesus will descend with Him from wherever the Rapture took us, back to Earth.

The Garden of Eden will open again to spread its beauty over the whole Earth.  Jesus will be in the midst of His people together with His beautiful Bride.  There will be no sickness, death, disease, sin or demons to trouble us.  The Prince of Peace, our Creator and Saviour, Jesus Christ will rule for a thousand years to restore the Earth to its original beauty.

The mess the great tribulation made on this planet with multiple volcanic eruptions, great earthquakes in unusual places, tsunamis, superstorms, nuclear bombs, melted polar caps, and so on, will take a thousand years to clear up.

A thousand years after Eden was closed off came the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Our God rained down fire and brimstone from the sky above in His anger and disappointment at the abominations of those who lived there.

Next came the Flood when God repented that He had made Man.  He never expected them to be such evil, violent, corrupt people, that only 8 humans were still righteous and worth saving.  He is faced with the same disappointment today where it seems very few have learned anything from His past demonstrations of anger.

He has demonstrated His power through Moses and Aaron when the arrogant evil King Ramses II was Pharoah over Egypt.  It took ten awful plagues that affected the Egyptians but not the Jews to convince him. Let them go to serve their God in the wilderness.

Once they had gone and Pharoah realised he had no slaves, he took his army in their chariots to fetch them back.  The Hebrews were trapped between the mountains and the Red Sea on the Gulf of Aqaba, when Moses saw the army coming their way.  God said, Stretch forth your rod over the sea.  Moses obeyed and the Red Sea parted and that huge number of God's people went through on dry land.

They were gone before Pharoah could catch up to them but he and his army raced onto the dry sea bed.  When they were all there the sea closed over them, just as the Flood had taken those unpleasant people away.  It really does not go well when we make God angry.

It's like in Daniel's day.  Daniel was worshipping Him when he was thrown into a den of hungry lions.  The Lord created those lions and used His authority to make them sleep until morning.  Nebuchadnezzar the King was so happy to see that Daniel was still alive that he threw his accusers and their families into that lion's den.  They were never seen again.  Do as you would be done by.

God's Son, Jesus, was and is the full manifestation of His power in human form.  Jesus did many miracles, healings and deliverances from demons.  He calmed the stormy sea, He raised the dead.  He was resurrected from death and is alive forevermore.

The Father sent the Holy Spirit as His gift to the Body of Christ.  It turns every born again Christian into one that has the authority, power and abilities that Jesus had.  He needs us to keep what He started, going.  We must spiritually demonstrate everything that Jesus did and even greater things.

John 14 v 10 - 13: "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

It's time for these greater works to be manifested but the church has fallen into legalism, man made tradition, and political correctness.  These are the very things that Jesus demonstrated against.

He wants His Body to rise up and be creative in overcoming the wiles of the enemy.  He has given us power over every evil work and would very much like to see us using it.  Right now, every day, and always.  We cannot be ready for His coming if we neglect to do this.

Jesus wants to see the freedom of the Holy Spirit in our midst.  These days He is not seeing much power at all.  The Charismatic Movement has caused some harm through many false doctrines that have divided the church into thousands of sects.

Those denominations that do not preach salvation through being born again, then baptism in water, then in the Holy Spirit, have not yet left the starting blocks.  Being a member of a church with a certificate does not get us through the Pearly Gates.  The only  document that is our passport to Heaven is if our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

If the church has not yet read that page in the Bible nor the commands of Jesus in John 3 v 3: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."  When Jesus says "Verily, Verily" it means what comes next is of utmost importance.

If you, the reader, believe these words please send the link to this blog to every church you can or to people attending such churches.  Jesus said we must go into the highways and byways to compel them to come into His Kingdom.  Every Christian must become a spiritual demonstrator of the power of God.

We cannot sit in pews and do nothing else.  Jesus died and resurrected to empower us so if we are doing nothing for Him we are not bringing forth fruit.  We are burying our one talent.  What we do for others will be done for us.  He loves us so much and depends on every believer to do their part.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I feel Your frustration at the lukewarm, lifeless, misguided, people who could be vessels of honour.  We must discover what our ability is to bring spiritual life to those who are lost.  Help us to reach them O Lord, to bring truth and salvation to Your Body.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
